Arugambay Resort

We’re travelling around Sri Lanka as a group of ten friends and were recommended The Hideaway for dinner. We had such a beautiful meal here - we were seated at a nice big table for the whole group with a fan and the service was professional and kind. The food is a lovely mix of Middle Eastern dishes, pizza and sushi and all was beautifully presented and delicious. We’re really glad we stopped here!

I had the best experience at Hideaway. I was with my girlfriend and we felt at home immediatly. The bungalow and mainhouse are charming and confortable. The garden is a little paradise. There is an amazing vibe in this place thanks to the amazing staff who are very helpful and smiling. Thank you Sharon for sharing your world with us. We will come back for sure Alexis

We are a family of four and had a wonderful time at the Hideaway! Sharon and her top team created a warm and happy place with great food, nice people, cozy rooms… Just a few steps to the wonderful beach and surfspots- staying in a calm jungle… we would have loved to stay all summer…

This was out first time at Arugam bay we tried a few different places to stay and Hideaway was our last spot and equal favorite!! The rooms are comfortable the service from the staff is excellent !! They will and did go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and provide you with whatever you are after or require ! The foods amazing from breakfast to dinner caters for everyone !! We will def miss out morning chats with the lovely manager Sunita she s a lovely lady ….. Thank you and see you guys sometime soon hopefully !!

Beautiful experience at the Hideaway resort in Arugam Bay. The vibe is so nice and peaceful. Great energy. I recommend to everyone looking for a place with nice food / nice yoga class and nice installations.

A magnificent and magical place where time stands still. Come with your eyes closed. Everything was perfect! A beautifully maintained garden, a stunning pool, and an adorable, attentive staff. Breakfasts and dinners were delicious, prepared by an excellent chef, spécial mention for the absolutely incredible sushi! In the evening, you can enjoy happy hour with excellent cocktails, with live music. Yoga sessions are also proposed with truly great instructors. It really feels just like home! I will come back for sure. Thank you for everything !

A very special place, run with real pride, warmth and taste. The food’s amazing, the bar/restaurant always has a nice buzz with good music and great cocktails. At the back of the resort the big, cool pool and yoga space are beautifully calm. Our family room was spacious, comfortable and well looked after, although it could be a bit noisy being near the neighbouring bar and road. You’re right in the heart of the strip near the best shops and restaurants and 20 yards from the beach. Am sure we’ll come back to Aragum Bay and it’s hard to imagine wanting to stay anywhere else.

Just stayed for the second time and was amazing as the first Sharon, Sangeetha and all of the team do everything to ensure your stay is amazing. Location is very central and easy to walk to everything Arugam Bay has to offer. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, love the outdoor shower in the bungalows. Great facilities including the swimming pool, restaurant with relaxing spaces in the shade and fabulous food, always top quality, There is live entertainment which is of a great quality. We did a couple of yoga sessions with Tamara which we loved. Also went on a half day safari arranged by the hotel. A driver and guide was provided with many insights and education provided throughout the safari, the guide was very knowledgeable. We were incredibly lucky seeing 6 leopards, elephants, sloth bear and many birds. I cannot recommend this property highly enough and we will be back next time in the Bay.

Great vibe, lovely staff, knock out food, especially breakfast. amazingly comfortable bed and fabulous shampoo! Live - and really good - music
