SG Premium Resort

Good value, nice clean hotel, quiet location, not many food options around but the Wildebeest restaurant next door was good for a local (but good for westerners) food and cheap beers. Good breakfast for Africa. Would stay again.

Ok for a night, first stay before our safari, all good , big room , nice meal in the hotel restaurant. Second stay on return from safari, again nice room, though had to call at reception multiple times as not enough cups, no towels and the hairdryer didn't work. Was told someone would be up to let me use a hairdryer in another room. No one came so gave up . Shame as our first stay was so good.

The name Premium is certainly misleading. You can see that it was once a beautiful hotel with style and grandeur but sadly that was many years ago. We stayed at the beginning and end of a safari trip. The common areas still look smart on initial impressions but you can see that they have been neglected over the years. The rooms are very tired and both of ours had dangerous trip hazards on the floor which could have resulted in injury. However, the staff are all friendly and helpful. The food and drinks are very good and reasonably priced but service is incredibly slow. It’s ok for single nights but not somewhere to stay for a week. You can leave your excess luggage when on safari and there is a cash machine close by at the fuel station. I wouldn’t stay again but it hasn’t scarred me for life either.

Stayed in SG Premium Resort for one night before and after safari. The name "Premium" is very misleading and the hotel is definitely not worthy of 3 stars. The rooms were not very clean. In the room I first stayed in the floor felt sticky when I walked barefoot on it. And when when I wore white socks they turned brown underneath after walking on the floor. The sink was almost clogged and the toilet was barely flushing. After the safari I stayed in a different room that was even more worn and had lots of mould around the air condition. In this room the bathroom floor was also very dirty, so I asked them to clean it. A cleaner came and more or less just moved the dirt around the floor with a mop. So the dirt was basically just moved from one place to another on the floor. In the end I just gave up explaining and accepted that I would have a dirty bathroom floor while staying here. When she left the room she then proceeded to mop the carpet floor (!) in the hallway outside with the same mop. This really made me question how the rooms at this hotel are actually cleaned, as well as the general cleanliness and hygiene at the hotel. There was only one single towel in the rooms and I asked the staff if I could get one or two more, so I at least could have separate towels for showering and habd wash. The were very friendly and told me several times that they would bring me one, but I am still waiting for that extra towel. The soups in the restaurant were very good, however the service at the restaurant was extremely slow. Expect to spend at least 1 hour just to have a starterdish like a bowl of soup, and even more if you want to eat a main dish as well. Breakfast was not the best. This could have been a good hotel if it was better maintained and the rooms were properly cleaned. But it looks like they just don't care.

This resort was booked and included as part of my safari and day trips with Suricata Safaris. The resort itself is fairly large and includes a pool, lounge, bar, and restaurant with the usual amenities of WiFi, room service, small shop, and more. The rooms were in need of some refurbishment but everything was operational and clean. My room included bottled water, coffee and tea, a large comfortable bed, private shower and washroom, tv, WiFi, safe, closet, air conditioning, and plenty of charging outlets. Breakfast was served daily from 0600-0800 and I usually had dinner around 1900. The bar was open at all hours and offered beers, wines, cocktails, and mixed drinks at a very reasonable price. The food at the restaurant was good and filling after long days hiking or trekking around the city. There was security at the entrance point of the resort, staff available at the front desk at all hours, a nearby gas station that had a secure ATM with guard (my MasterCard debit card did not work here, I needed to visit a physical branch just as a heads up) and snacks for purchase. This area was very safe and frequently utilized by the various tour providers of safaris so walking around was no issue. SG Premium Resort delivered as expected, a comfortable place to rest and fuel up in preparation for the days ahead.

The hotel is terrible! Slow staff, the room is old and not very clean. There are no towels available; we had to ask for a mat, a face towel... there simply aren't any basic items in the room. The food is simple but delicious. When we went to check out, they didn't have change for dollars and wouldn't accept dollars in the card machine. We were forced to accept change in shillings, which obviously cost us money. The worst part was that we had to leave at 6:00 and breakfast started at 6:00. So, the reception desk gave us the option of preparing two boxes for us. We woke up early, checked in, and when it was time to go, the restaurant hadn't prepared anything. The receptionist was a different person and said he didn't know anything, even though we confirmed this twice the day before. We then asked for it to be prepared on the spot, but the restaurant was completely unprepared. There were no napkins, no cutlery, and no container to store the snack. We were late and left without the planned breakfast. Terrible hotel! I do not recommend it!

This is good place to go with your family or friends to enjoy they have good food nice stuff i recommend someone to go there to experience service they have in the hotel also affordable price accommodation I was feel at home for real and I will go back again next year

Everything was superb. The room was clean and well organized, the location was close to the airport and the bed was good too. Everything about my stay was perfect. Upon arrival i was shown to my room which was fabulous, very spacious and adorable. The breakfast was absolutely delicious with a variety of african and European meals. Absolutely would recommend.
