Malkia Trees Lodge

I am very grateful to owner Honest Maranda and manager Neema for providing such a wonderful introduction to Tanzania. I was part of a large family party which included a two-year-old, an eight-year-old, and a couple of us in our 70s. Malkia Trees Lodge has beautiful grounds, clean rooms, warm beds, hot showers, delicious food, and most importantly a kind, friendly, and helpful staff.

The property and grounds are beautiful, like you're in the treetops! It was too chilly to use the pool but that area was pretty and private, too. The location is close to town and a great base for Ngorongoro and Tarangire parks, too. The food was authentic, delicious, and plentiful and the cooks made it to order and sometimes a buffet. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were a good size. The owner, Honest, was so very helpful and friendly to our 17 member extended family (age 2-72). We were in Arusha for a wedding and also wanted to experience the culture and beauty in Tanzania and Honest and Neema (manager) arranged wonderful transportation and excursions for us. The rest of the staff at Malkia Trees were happy to help us any way they could. The property has many stairs but everything is well-lit and easy to navigate. Highly recommend them for a comfortable boutique hotel in a great location.

We truly had a wonderful experience at Malkia Trees lodge. Honest, the owner and Neema, the manager took care of everything for us. From meals to helping us find a good safari, they are great hosts! Highly recommended!

My family had a wonderful time visiting Arusha and using it for the jump off point for our Safari. The owner, Honest Marandu, was very gracious, helped us with obtaining our Safari as well as all transportation throughout the region. The staff was excellent, Neema, who is one of the managers, was very calm and took care of everything for us. And the meals are excellent! I would definitely recommend staying at Malkia Trees Lodge!
