First of all, the hotel is built on the mountain and has an Italian style. The view overlooking the bay is also very good. The scenery of the skyline swimming pool is also very beautiful. 2. However, the sound insulation effect of the hotel room is very poor. Not only can you hear the voices in the next room, but the sound of people walking upstairs and on the stairs is also not soundproof. It greatly affects the rest in the room and the feeling is very bad. We have given feedback and communicated with the person in charge of the hotel, and their answer is: This is a countryside style, the sound insulation effect is like this, there is no way. As a result, I couldn't sleep peacefully for two nights and was often woken up at night. Feeling very bad. 3. The food in the restaurant: can be described with very bad words. First of all, the ingredients are not fresh and some fruits are obviously rotten, as evidenced by the photos. Secondly, the dishes provided do not taste fragrant. I don’t know if it’s the chef’s cooking skills or the cooking method that’s different! It feels far from the standard of a five-star hotel. I chose a lot of dishes, but almost none were delicious. As for the Italian restaurants around us, we felt that they were both delicious and delicious. The overall feeling is that the restaurant level of this hotel is far below the five-star standard, not even three-star. Third, we ate at the front of the restaurant, which was very nice, but we were surrounded by swarms of bees or wasps. They were unscrupulous and plundered food directly from the dinner plate. Not only was the food contaminated, but we were also worried about being stung by them. There was no time to enjoy the beautiful scenery. 4. I originally booked this hotel because it is close to the seaside and has an Italian style. Due to the above-mentioned bad feelings, we had to change to other nearby hotels. The price was half cheaper than here, and the experience was much better than this. Therefore, we feel that this hotel is not consistent with such a high price and five-star rating. The joyful mood of the first two nights when I came to Sardinia for the first time was greatly affected. 5. Communicate and coordinate with the person in charge of the hotel (assistant manager) when leaving the hotel, and truthfully respond to the above issues. They apologized for this, but had no other remedies. After asking the manager for instructions, they agreed to waive the value-added tax we should have paid when we arrived at the store and a salad (it was extremely unpalatable and was returned on site). . Our request: Since the hotel for these two nights was fully prepaid in advance, the hotel has no authority to give us any other compensation. As a loyal customer of Ctrip, I hope you will verify the above situation and give us corresponding compensation if possible. Make amends to soothe our wounded hearts. Thank you.

The room has a pastoral style, and the environment is very nice and quiet. However, there are many ants outside and they bite people. The room facilities are relatively primitive and the toilet is very small. It is half an hour's drive from the busiest pier.

After delays leaving London we finally arrived in Olbia where the hotel has kindly arranged transfers to the hotel via private company so we didn't have the stress of finding a taxi( approx. 25 minutes drive £70 each way). Upon arriving at villa del golfo we were greeted by a lovely concierge who told us about the room and a little about the hotel.(best to scan the digital concierge at reception for more details or in your room) We was then taken to our room via golf buggy which was fun!. We where staying in a suite but was informed we had been upgraded complimentary which meant we stayed in a suite with a private pool. The hotel is suited in a small town on cannigione which is 10 minute walk down the promenade along the shore line where you can find places to eat and drink and local supermarket for supplies. The hotel uses WhatsApp for restaurant bookings and request which I found super helpful when deciding on last minute restaurants etc when out for the day. And was always super quick to reply. The hotel is spread over a relatively big area our room 702 was just a short walk via shortcut to the main reception and pool and had great views of the location. The accommodation is veryclean, tidy with comfortable sofa and bed with fridge(non alcoholic beverages such as water and cola)and authentic Sardinian design which I wanted not ultra modern with no personality. The whole hotel is very well maintained and looks very cared for with beautiful flowers. We had Delicious cocktail drinks at Mira Luna lounge on several nights the 2 gentlemen there very polite and courteous. And a delicious pizza, pasta at The cutter lounge down the road. We also did the authentic Sardinian set menu at la colti. One of the waiters was a bit rushy but we found this comical. Reed reviews before you go to know what to expect. Breakfast is a mix of continental and Italian cheese and meat cuts. You also have option of eggs scrambled ,etc. We asked reception for maps of the area on our 1st full day which where greatly appreciated and helped guide us whilst we where there. Overall we had a really pleasant stay and would like to thank everyone who helped during the time, always friendly and answering requests. Compared to other 5 star hotels I've stayed in. I would give this hotel 4.5 stars. See below reason. *Note no iron allowed or available at this resort but they do offer a ironing service which I feel they could easily adjust because who knows what you want to wear each day. So iron your clothes before you go is a recommendation if not wanting to use the service. Also Wi-Fi didn't work which we was informed about at check in on Sunday and remained like this until Weds/ Thursday unfortunately. We didn't use room service as wasn't needed but €30 euro charge for something sent to room seemed high. I've not seen this in many other 5 star hotels I've stayed in. Tips for the hotel. Blankets for guests sitting outside for cool nights, milk sachet in room to use for th

The pros: the hotel was clean, the new infinity pool and bar was nice with a good view. The cons: the staff does not provide 5 star service. We came on our honeymoon which was never acknowledged. We stayed at 4 other 5 star hotels throughout our honeymoon that all went above and beyond. When we pulled up to the reception, no one helped us with our bags or came out to greet us. The breakfast was a bit lackluster. The vibe of the hotel was also a bit strange. It seemed as though no one was staying there (never anyone by the pool or in common areas). It was very hard to find the amenities around the property (no map or proper signage). Lastly, the design was very simple and a little tacky.

During my recent visit to Villa del Golfo, I was treated to an extraordinary culinary experience. The "Perfect Thyme" cocktail – a masterful blend of premium spirits, thyme, and citrus – delighted my palate. Alongside this exquisite drink, I enjoyed the breathtaking view of the sea, which enhanced the ambiance. The impeccable service provided by the welcoming staff added an extra layer of enjoyment to the already memorable evening. Villa del Golfo truly knows how to create an unforgettable and well-rounded experience.

We stayed 7 nights at this hotel but we will never go back again! The positive points are the following: - the location is nice with a beautiful view; - the staff at the restaurant is amazing, big up for them; - the concierge is reactive and professional; - the room is clean. The negative points are these ones: - the access to the rooms is not ideal with many irregular stairs, so if you plan to wear heels or are not trained, better avoid the place; - the room is very basic, with no luxury equipments; - the access to the bath is complicated even if you are tall as you have a quite high wall to walk through; - the air conditioning is very noisy and the curtains let the light enter, so you don’t sleep well; - the balcony was small and full of ants; - the bed was not comfortable; we asked for a smoother one and they provided us with a topper, which helped a bit but it was still not comfy and we had back pain because of that; - the breakfast is ok but always the same: you expect better in a five stars hotel; - the parking is not big enough for the number of rooms, so you’d better not come too late to the hotel; - there is no iron in the bedrooms and no solution for your clothes except using the paying laundry of the hotel; - we asked for a late checkout but this was impossible per principle for them; we felt that they did not want to make any effort; - the towels for the swimming pool are old and not fancy as you would expect in such hotel; - last but not least they messed up with our invoice and charged some services twice: luckily we checked but otherwise we would have lost 580 euros! This is unacceptable! We asked for a detailed invoice but were told that it was not possible! No excuse from the receptionist and she even told me I could have spotted that before! When I asked questions she said: “do you understand what I mean??” by using a very condescending tone as if I was an ***** but luckily I was smart enough to check my bill. I had to wait two weeks to get my refund but never got the final invoice. - Finally we paid 500 euros per night and this is theft considering that there is nothing luxurious be it the service or the infrastructure in this place! We don’t recommend this place that we find overrated and strongly advise to pass your way. Sardinia is beautiful and you can have far better for the same price!

We had a wonderful stay at the Villa del Golfo. I could not say enough good things about the staff who were friendly and attentive to all of our needs. We forgot our adapter and Marino was able to find one for us quickly. The manager, Giovanni, was amazing, and made sure we knew all the features of both hotels. He even gave us a tour and explanation of the sister hotel when we went there for a spa treatment. The spa was very exclusive. There were only four people allowed in at a time to use the circuit and the body treatment I received was done with all locally grown ingredients, and one of the best I’ve ever had. Even though the Villa del, Golfo does not have a beach they do have transportation to a Beach very close by. If you want a Lido there, you need to reserve it as it is not associated with a Hotel the hotel does however, have a dock you can walk to and swim with chairs there. There is so much more we can say, but we would definitely stay here again highly recommend.

My husband and I spent 3 nights at Villa Del Golfo, although we had unfortunate rainy & cold weather (obviously not the hotels fault at all), we felt the stay was overall pretty average. Our room was spacious and the housekeeping staff had great turndown service, breakfast was good, & all of the waiters in the restaurant & staff were friendly, fun and extremely helpful! We felt that this hotel was extremely overpriced for what you get, there was no communication at check in, we kind of just had to figure things out as went through each day. We paid extra for the “beach package”, when we finally took advantage of it we were shocked by what this package actually entails… a lounger on a beach about 10 min away… no towels, no water NOTHING! We laughed about it to be honest- the beach package, as well as most everything about the hotel, was extremely over sold. The hotel charges you for everything, $30 service fee to have a bottle of wine delivered to the room. They seemed understaffed & unorganized. We felt this area is extremely touristy & the hotel has great potential to truly be a 5* hotel. However at the moment, it is not worth the $$ and is not 5*
