Päijänne.Pätiälä manor is an old family home practising traditional agriculture and forestry. Three of Päijänne’s bays thrust into the manorlands. The first mention of the estate dates back to the 1400s. Furthermore, the manor’s lands have yielded a valuable Viking coin hoard from around the 1000s; this comprised 360 coins of various nationalities. The comfortable silverlog and log cottages which have been built along a 5-km length of shoreline stand for apart, ensuring that each has its own space and peace.
