Fairfield by Marriott Kumamoto Aso

Arriving at Aso Station on the Aso Boy train, I looked up and saw the hotel right outside the exit. The bus to Mount Aso 🚌 was conveniently located to the right. The hotel has a family onsen behind it for 400 yen per person, and complimentary tea and coffee are provided (though no milk). There's a Lawson convenience store nearby. The lounge with a small courtyard outside is super comfortable for sitting. The downside is there's no buffet restaurant, only breakfast is offered, and food options nearby are quite limited. If they had a buffet, I'd definitely stay for a few more nights, I liked it that much 👍. I stayed for two nights this time; Aso is a really clean, uncrowded, comfortable, and pleasant place.

The hotel is incredibly clean and conveniently located, just a 3-minute walk from the station. The Japanese-style breakfast provided was also excellent. It seems there aren't many overnight visitors in Aso right now. It would be absolutely perfect if the hotel could offer more evening activities or entertainment.

This hotel is super close to Aso Station, just a 2-minute walk, which is really convenient. It's also very near Mount Aso, and the bus terminal is right next to the station. You can sleep in and head to Aso without feeling rushed. Even though it's a Marriott property, there's no breakfast or dining options available, and the food choices nearby are limited.
