Kamenoi Hotel Aso Park Resort

We were upgraded to a Kuromon themed room without realising it until we got to our rooms. At first we were not sure what to think of it but seeing the Kuromon cups and biscuits in the room we thought its quite a unique experience. The hotel has lots of amenities (2 public onsen areas to choose from and indoor waterpark) and is really family friendly. Breakfast was an absolute delight! Overall a good choice especially for families.

What I loved -Super big room with plenty of space. Very comfortable! -Free yukata and sleepwear were provided, and they were really comfortable to wear. -Loved the onsen experience! There are different onsen baths, and everything is connected indoors so you don't have to go outside. -Buffet dinner and breakfast were amazing. So much variety, and the Aso milk was incredibly fresh and delicious. -The room had a beautiful view. Waking up to the scenery was one of the highlights of the stay. -Great place to relax, and I would definitely bring my family back next time. What could be better -The open-air parking lot is quite large, and some parking spaces are a bit far from the hotel lobby.

The hotel facilities are quite old, some furniture you can see it is stained and old, but not in the room, but in public areas like public bath. There is a little sauna room in the public bath, and additional there is another two more public bath. There is a kids zone with claw machines and arcade games too. The buffet dinner is the highlight! Absolutely love the dinner, served a lot of high quality and local food. Breakfast is super nice also. The most enjoyable is the buffet i would say.
