It was a nice place for solo and if you come by train. it’s pretty hard to come by car for less parking spot. But others is totally fine!

First off, the room temperature was perfect. It was a bit chilly in Atami that day, but the hotel room was just right. Secondly, the owner was incredibly, incredibly kind! I'd left my suitcase in a locker at the station but forgot the code. With the owner's help, I managed to retrieve it through the staff. The owner helped me so much, and they were really nice. The room also offered a spectacular sea view. I've attached two photos of the sea view at the end. I'm truly grateful for such assistance while abroad.

I stayed at this guesthouse in Atami last December and had a pleasant experience overall. The location is quite convenient, as it’s close to Atami Station. There is a short uphill walk to reach the guesthouse, but it’s still manageable. Overall, I would rate the guesthouse 8/10. The main thing to note is that, as it’s a guesthouse, the bathroom and toilet are shared. There is also an onsen available on-site, though it requires an additional fee (which is not expensive). The onsen operates on a time schedule since it’s shared between male and female guests. The host was friendly and welcoming. I didn’t really get the chance to use facilities like the dining area or the rooftop, but the dining area has a balcony with a nice sea view, which looked great. Another big plus is that the guesthouse is within walking distance of Atami Heiwa-dōri Shopping Street, making it very convenient for food and shopping.

Despite the most lovely staff, I have to say this propery is very outdated and my capsule of the bunk bed smelled terrible of old sweat and bad body odor. You have to pay for a body towel, first face towel is free and usage of (dirty; like dirty onsen tiles in the water) onsen is ¥150.

Very clean and good location. Can view nice hanabi from the guesthouse. Many thanks to the owner good advise on watching the hanabi. Nice onsen as well. Friendly reminder to bring own amenities (including tower).

Good: 1. It’s close to station 2. The view from the rooftop is insanely beautiful (I’m sure you can get such a view from other hotels too though) 3. There’s a “living room” area for you to hang out with others but it seems to always be occupied by a group of people Bad: 1. There is NO light from station to the stay, so if you’re walking at night it’s REALLY scary and eerie 2. They charge for everything lmao
