Prince Smart Inn Atami

This hotel is really close to the station, easily walkable. I wasn't expecting much, just needed a simple overnight stay for the Atami Fireworks Festival, but I was pleasantly surprised! The environment here is exceptionally good, and the hotel feels very new. Plus, it includes breakfast: a coffee and a hot dog or sandwich. The room was listed as 19 square meters, but we could easily open our 28-inch suitcase flat, as the layout is compact and well-designed.

This hotel is really smart, with self-service check-in and check-out, which is very convenient. If you arrive early, you can scan your booking order to store your luggage and then go out to explore easily. However, be aware that you cannot store luggage after checking out. The hotel is a bit of a walk from the station, but it's very clean overall. The included breakfast is very simple, just a cup of coffee and a small sandwich. If you want more, you'll have to pay extra.

Facilities: Basic toiletries are conveniently self-service and available by the elevator. Service: The front desk staff's English is good, and they patiently guide you through the check-in process. Environment: It's very close to the station, so all your usual food, drinks, and convenience stores are within 500m. The rooms are much larger compared to typical Tokyo accommodations. P.S. For my fellow Chinese compatriots who need hot water, remember to ask the front desk for a kettle, as it's not standard in the rooms. You can leave it in the room when you check out. Breakfast: Simple, just sandwiches and coffee or black tea. You'll definitely need to supplement it if you plan an active morning. If you want to pack it to go, you'll need to bring your own bag. The good thing is it starts early, from 7 AM.

This hotel is close to Atami Station and the main shopping street, offering good value for money. The room's cleanliness and facilities were decent. However, the front desk had a rather thin male staff member who was quite cold and unfriendly. Breakfast is a simple meal served at the lobby cafe, typically a sandwich or hot dog with a coffee or tea.

I booked two nights and was quite concerned about the hotel's hygiene. After checking in, I actually found a pair of men's underwear in the bathroom! Thankfully, after communicating with the staff, they moved me to a different room, but my mood was already ruined, especially since hotel prices are already high during cherry blossom season, and then to encounter something like this. Furthermore, the hotel's facilities are quite outdated; both the desk and the vanity were rather basic. Also, they don't offer luggage storage after check-out. The hotel's location is decent, about a 100-meter walk from Atami Station. Overall, it's suitable if you're looking for a budget hotel, but if the price is high, I'd recommend considering other options.

The room was nice, with comfortable lighting and a good size. Check-in and check-out were easy. The only downside was the breakfast; it was very basic, just a coffee and one sandwich (choice of 4), so better than nothing, I guess.
