"Arrived in CR after a long flight and booked our first night here before trekking up to La Fortuna the next day. Perfect spot, and not too far from the airport but far enough to get a taster of driving in Costa Rica for the first time. Got a little lost then found our way, and was made to feel very welcome when we reached the hotel. Due to a large party of schoolchildren the kitchen was closed but the staff did offer to make us food but to be honest all we needed was a few beers and an early night. After a good night sleep the breakfast was good, very traditional and off we went to start our adventure. A great way to start the holiday, thank you so much!"

"The location is perfect for the first night after a long flight which arrives late: not too far away from the airport (approx. 30 minutes) but already outside the hustle of the city. The rooms are clean the breakfast good and there is safe parking. Why not 5 points? Because there were dogs barking all night (not too close but with a jetlag annoying)"

"I could not have asked for a better solo vacation. This was the best getaway I’ve ever had in my life. I stayed for 10 days and soaked up the beauty of the location, my perfect room and view, took restorative wellness classes, met new friends, ate some of the best food I’ve had in a while, and most of all was treated so well by the lovely staff at The Retreat and Mystique (try the Tamarindo…wow). "This is our second stay at the Bungelows. My husband and I stayed in the back cabin which was very private and cozy. I enjoyed hanging out in the hammock and cooking on the outside kitchen. The best part is the ability to cook your food and store it. The owners are very nice and accommodating. The property is well kept up and clean. They offer tons of amenities and is very secure. We are looking forward to coming back again."
