Hotel Indigo ATHENS DOWNTOWN - UNIV AREA by IHG

Great place to stay! Close to everything. The beds were wonderful!

The front desk staff and the restaurant staff were absolutely wonderful; however, housekeeping needs some training. One housekeeper in particular was yelling out “Housekeeping” very loudly, on repeat, right outside our door over and over again beginning over an hour before checkout time. We left our room to go down for breakfast around 10, and when we got back she was still hovering around our door. We walked in our room to brush our teeth and get our bags when she literally started BANGING on our door at exactly 11 AM. We said “just a second”, and came out moments later to find her standing right outside our door holding a clip board. It was the rudest most inhospitable thing I have ever witnessed at a hotel. I could understand housekeeping knocking on the door if it were 10 minutes after checkout, but doing it at exactly 11 AM seemed absurd and unnecessary…especially since we had the Do Not Disturb sign on the door.

The hotel was very clean & the staff was friendly and helpful. Got coffee at the bar which from a local coffee roaster and was great! Parking was safe and secure.

Clean, large rooms. Walk in shower. Staf is great. Especially the Bistro staff. Dalyn is the greatest at the bar.

No place to sit, had to rearrange room to be able to get into bed.
