Good and bad... The Good... the rooms were excellent, we had a 5th floor apartment, 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths and 1 half bath, a full kitchen and living room, wrap around deck outside, washing machine, plenty of room and storage, safes in each closet. Alexandra at the front desk was very good. She came up to the room to show us how to operate the washer and the A/C and got us an extra clothes rack for drying our wash. She offered apologies for the problems we had run into. Alexandra also was helpful in scheduling us our rides to the airport. Now the bad... First...the area around the hotel is very sketchy. It is not at all a comfortable place to walk around, and thankfully we did not have to go out at night. At check- in we were told the credit card system was down and not expected to be fixed for a couple of days. They wanted full payment in cash for our 3 night stay. We arrived after 5pm and did not have enough cash. We were told there was an ATM around the corner from the hotel, but our ATM withdrawals are limited daily. The manager was insistent that we pay in full. He spoke in Greek to Alexandra who had to deliver his demands to us. When we explained our situation to her, she was sympathetic. We had enough cash to pay for the first night, and the manager wanted us to pay the remaining 2 day balance the next day . We still would not be able to pay the full amount for the 2 days as we were heading out at 6am for a full day trip to Santorini and would not be returning until after 9pm, when the front desk is not staffed. Alexandra explained that to the manager. He didn't seem happy about it, but he finally agreed. We paid another 3rd on the third day. On our final day, we took the elevator down from the 5th floor to go out for breakfast and on coming back, Alexandra was at the desk, so we paid the remaining balance. At which point, she told us the elevators were broken. We had to walk up to our room, get our bags and carry them down to the lobby for our ride to the airport. We had 3 large, heavy bags, and 3 medium sized bags. Alexandra let us put the bags by the desk so she could watch them, while we climbed back up to the 5th floor to get the rest of our bags. It is not good service that they have only one person staffing the front desk, especially at check-out time. I am sure there are some people who would need assistance with their bags and the front desk clerk should not be the only person available to help them. Once we got all our bags downstairs, the elevator was repaired....LOL!

Terrible location, unsafe pool. On arrival our taxi driver warned us not to be out in this area of Athens after dark because of “************ and homeless people”. Being a 30min walk from the tourist areas this would have been difficult. After check in we went to view the pool as we were travelling with children who were excited to use it. The pool and area were totally unsafe with lights hanging off in the pool, missing tiles, broken glass on the floor and razor sharp exposed metal on the very few broken “loungers” available. We immediately complained checked out and found alternate accommodation. On contacting the holiday provider we were told we couldn’t have a re-fund as it’s outside of hotel policy. Neither should an unsafe pool.

Having read the good reviews on TripAdvisor, I was looking forward to my stay at the hotel. Unfortunately, I was severely disappointed for the following reasons: 1. When checking in, the hotel staff asked me to block €100 on my credit card in case of damages to the room. This is fine, and I understand it is hotel policy. The staff then proceeded to remove my credit card from the reader and started noting down my credit card number, expiry date and CVV/CVC on a paper where I filled out my personal information previously signed without asking for my consent. Upon protest, he informed me that it is hotel policy and that they need this data for their operations. I voiced my dissatisfaction and also informed the staff storing credit card information on some paper, unencrypted, on the front desk poses a security risk. The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) requirement 3.2.2 specifically prohibits storage of the CVV/CVC. The hotel is therefore in direct violation with the contact they have with their credit card processing company. As I was going to stay at the hotel for the next 5 days, I didn't want to quarrel with them and let it slide, determined to get the paper back when I check out. When checking out, I asked for the paper that contains my credit card information to be destroyed (in accordance to the GDPR of the EU). The hotel staff refused to do so, and only after insisting and fighting with them for a while, they agreed to destroy the paper. Among others, they mentioned that I signed the paper and therefore agreed to them storing my data, even though they noted my credit card details down after I signed. They were petty and refused to hand us over the paper, so we can dispose of it properly, but they tore the paper and threw it in the bin. Tearing the paper does not conform to PCI DSS requirement 3.1 (secure deletion) 2. Unfortunately, we had ants in our room which crawled onto the sofa at night and prevented one of us who had to use the sofa bed from sleeping due to the ants crawling on her. I had another insect (bedbug?) in my bed/room and was bitten every single night, which led to severe allergic reactions. We informed the hotel staff, who seemed to care very little and even suggested that I was bitten outside the hotel when I woke up every morning with a new bite. The hotel staff only suggested they had to spray down the room the day of our checkout. 3. The room on the first floor we were assigned at our (prebooked) 2nd stay had an awfully damp, earthy smell of mold and mildew. When complaining, the staff told us it was "normal"

I can see why this hotel has 5 stars, it is well located in Athens, with great views of the Acropolis from the infinity pool, the apartment was well equipped with all the necessities and absolutely spotlessly clean, my friends and I would highly recommend this hotel for a break in this lovely city

The hotel is near metro station. The room is big and has all you need. But the room service was very bad - the staff hadn't care to clean our room two days (from 4 days that we were there). The breakfast is very simple.

This accommodation was conveniently located near a subway station. Upon arrival, the front desk person was not super friendly and welcoming but it was late at night. The cafes were within walking distance and we were able to grab some snacks, fresh coffee, and juice in the morning. We didn’t feel super safe walking around the area at night time, but we did feel safe inside with the coded main door entry and staff at the front desk. Our apartment/suite easily accommodated the seven of us. The beds were comfortable. We used the laundry machine and that was really convenient. The rooftop infinity pool did not seem very clean so we did not go in it.
