The Claridge Hotel
3.8/5119 Reviews
We had a Family Reunion at the Claridge Hotel this July 2022. The location was in the center of everything. This luxury hotel was clean, comfortable, quiet and had good service with wonderful restaurants, views of the ocean from the rooms and rooftop , exercise room, pool and arcade. Something for everyone to do and enjoy. The rooms were clean and check in was quick and easy. Shari Buyse helped us plan a detailed, elegant, fun filled 3 day event. Shari assisted in planning every detail and was always available to review any questions we had. She was helpful during the event to ensure everything went accordingly. She ensured the food was perfect, as well as, accommodated the guests with dietary restrictions. Shari helped our vision of the event to come true. All feedback from our reunion guests was that it was the best reunion ever and it was unforgettable. They commented that the food was perfect, event space and hotel was memorable, and the views were beautiful. Our guests were amazed.

My employer prepaid for my trip and I received the confirmation email from the hotel. I had a 4pm check in time. I arrived at 5:45pmand the check in line was huge, but hey cool they have check-in kiosks. I enter my info and all looks good. I get. A message pops up that says my rooms not ready yet and to leave an email and I'd be notified when it's ready. I dropped off my luggage in a friend's room since I was there for business and had a meeting. Around 9:30 I went back to check the kiosk since I never got an email and after 30 mins in line they told me the kiosks are too dumb to reassign rooms. He proceeds to ask for my credit card (typical at hotels to guarantee you don't have any extra incidentals charged to the room) and I leave to my room finally at 10pm. I get to a room that reeled of ****, there were ashes on the bed spread and a wash cloth by the room door on the floor. The carpet was dirty and I found clumps of hair on the bathroom floor. Really nice. I then find out they charged me for the room even though it was prepaid by my employer. They charged over 50 people in my group even though the state prepaid it. After 3 days it's still not fixed even though a manager said they were taking care of it. During my visit they never came to freshen the sheets/towels. Even after I complained to the front desk about how dirty the room was. I was told come to front desk and they'd switch room but that also meant carrying my stuff back downstairs and waiting in line. At that rate I was charged for a room for a day for a shopping 2 hours of access to a dirty room. I feel like that day should have been comped. I will never stay there again. UPDATE: They finally refunded the room charges to my bank on Thursday after thie was being addressed in Monday.
Nobu Hotel at Caesars Atlantic City

The sea view room has a view of the sea. The hotel is owned by a Japanese internet celebrity restaurant in New York. The ingredients are high-end and simple, and there are marble bathrooms. There are also disposable slippers in the room, which is available in high-end hotels. The coffee inside is made with very good coffee beans, and there are two Japanese chocolates, which are LAX brand. Check-in is in a specific room, and tea is also available.
Bally's Atlantic City Hotel & Casino

The services at Bally's are exceptable. The front desk concierge that checked me and my husband in was very nice, professional and accommodating. The only downside was the pool is down for reconstruction; wish I was told beforehand.
Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa

The actual resort fee charged was more than what was quoted on trip.com they also do not take reward cards if booked through 3rd party which is ridiculous.
MGM Tower at Borgata

My wife and I researched most of the hotels in the area finally deciding on the Borgato. The visit started off by trying to valet my car at the Water Club; was told that because my car was a Tesla I should go to the other side. Cool, no problem. Check in was simple, used the app. Stopped at the desk anyway, asked about getting a suite for the weekend. The person called her supervisor who directed her to tell us that our visit was too long. My guess is that charging me $50 more for three nights wasn’t enough money when compared to what they could charge someone for one night. Whatever, I should’ve booked a suite in the first place. They were able to “upgrade” the room - but the hotel didn’t seem too busy so it I’m sure it wasn’t too big of an issue. The food selection was okay, the first night we ate at the food court which was hidden. Average cheesesteak, nothing to write home about. The next morning we are at Bread and Butter. We stood at the line entrance and weren’t greeted, so we moved to the other end where three associates were conversing. Two of which retreated to the back and the third moved to were originally stood.I ordered French Toast, it was okay. Clearly microwaved, which I wouldn’t have expected. My wife ordered egg sandwich that was also frozen and served on a burnt bagel. The tables were crowded and limited. The dealers had no personality, rarely interacted with the guests. A moved an empty bottle to the side of one of the tables - a pit boss asked if why I couldn’t put it in the garbage. That night we ate a Oldholme Stead Steakhouse. The only special was an A5 Waygu Steak, I was told it was the best steak they had. The steak had no sear and not cooked to my liking; I ate it because I had a hard time sending back a $200 steak. Again, we were met with service that was inattentive. We returned to the tables but due to the lack of additional staff to accommodate, the few extra tables were slammed. I waited on the sidelines for about 45 minutes to eventual open. The next morning we ate at the Metropolitan. Walked in and was met with a, “Two!?”. We sat and ordered after about 10 minutes. The food eventually arrived 35-40 minutes later, the quality was about the same as the morning before. However, this time part of my order was missing. When I asked where it was, I was met with “you still want it?”. Granted it was just sausage, but I ordered it. Instead of offering an apology at any point, I was given two cold *****s of bacon.
