Ibis Budget Auckland Airport

The hotel's location is convenient, close to Auckland Airport, saving a lot of travel time to the airport. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with practical facilities. Overall, it was a good stay, very suitable for family travelers who need to catch early flights or have a short stopover.

This hotel is near the airport and offers a paid shuttle service to and from the airport. While the price is relatively cheap, the rooms aren't very spacious. I got a pleasant surprise when the front desk upgraded me to a family room on check-in.

The bed was so soft and comfortable, I didn't want to wake up. The room was a bit cramped, but everything else was comfortable. Coffee and drinking water were always available at the entrance, and there was also a microwave. You can buy daily necessities at the supermarket next door.

The hotel is very close to Auckland Airport, just over 1 kilometer walk. It's suitable as a transit hotel for airport stays. The room is quite small, similar to hotels in Japan. Even opening two 24-inch suitcases is a struggle. However, the hotel's cleanliness is acceptable. If you need the shuttle bus to the airport, you can check the timetable at the front desk; it costs six New Zealand dollars per ride.

The front desk staff were incredibly helpful. We arrived late at night and, not knowing how to take the yellow bus, ended up dragging our luggage to the hotel – the navigation helped, though. In the morning, you can wait right outside the hotel for the Yellow Bus to the airport starting at 6 AM, which is very convenient. You can ask the front desk about bus times, and they'll patiently explain everything. There's a machine where you can buy tickets with a Visa card; you scan it once when buying and again when you board the bus. The room was extremely small; I had to open my suitcase in the hallway outside the door. It was fine for just an overnight stay. There's a Green Supermarket and Warehouse right outside, which is super convenient for shopping, just be mindful of their opening and closing times.
