Very well located,a few minutes walk from the main attractions, average cleanliness and friendly staff

This was the first hotel we stayed at in Auckland. The room was quite spacious, and the cleanliness was acceptable. However, they charged a handling fee for the deposit, and then double-charged me for the room. I had already paid online, but they asked me to pay again the next morning. I was in a hurry to catch my bus, so I just paid it.

Very nice stay, lovely staff, convenient to anywhere in CBD. Only thing was a little bit of too much strong perfume in the building, especially hallway.

The hotel's location is excellent, very close to Sky Tower, less than a 10-minute walk away. It's also a 10-minute walk to the Apex car rental pick-up point in the city center. The front desk service was great; they arranged an early check-in for us around 11 AM since a room was available. A pleasant surprise was finding a washer-dryer combo in the bathroom, complete with laundry detergent, and it was a Midea brand! Don't be put off by the several-hour drying time; it genuinely dries clothes perfectly without wrinkles.

After reading recent reviews, I was a little worried, but our room was clean and spacious.  Reception staff were helpful.  20 minute walk from harbour.

Great location, within walking distance to the main shopping street and Sky Tower. Some rooms even offer a view of the Sky Tower. The major drawback is the lack of air conditioning in the rooms; we had to leave the bedroom door open at night to let the cooler air from the living room circulate in.

The apartment location is excellent. We have been offered a room located in the ground floor which was a bit of noisy especially during night time. Staff are mostly helpful when we asked for stove fixing and towels changing.

It was clean and we could cook, which was nice. It was great that we could walk to and from the city center. Everything was satisfactory except for the shower drain not working properly.

Navya (hope I got her name spelt right) at the reception was super efficient & very accommodating . She responded to my email long before I arrived promptly with a solution. Many thanks. The sofas were sinking in a little & a suggestion to vacuum the sofas too. Other than that we had a good & pleasant stay. Tq

The location of the place was amazing, easy to get around the cbd area. But there were a lot of dirty stains around the room and the shower was pretty average. It was a cheap place so I couldnt ask for more.

It was a good stay and the staff wer friendly. However, some things could have been a little cleaner.

My husband and I stayed in VR hotel for 7 nights. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Front desk staff Thea who attended to us on the day of our check-in was friendly and helpful. What I like best about the hotel is it has a small well equipped kitchen. There's a microwave, a stove, an oven, a dish washing machine, a fridge and a washing machine. However the washing machine was broken but it was ok as the hotel will wash and dry your clothes free of charge. The location of the hotel is good with many restaurants around. The sky tower is just a short walk away. This hotel allows me to live like a New Zealander, buying provisions and cooking my own meals.👍

Very spacious, bigger room than expected, very friendly staff helping with finding a rental car, a mot of ueseful equipment like a washing machine and powder but sometimes it is slightly damaged (shower door not fully closing) or could be cleanlier (sinks), however the important things like bed and blanketd were comfy and clean and i would definitely go again
