We had a private room for 3, and it matched the photos. The blinds didn't really block out the light.

Amazing location and friendly staff - highly recommend. Kitchen is dirty but we did manage to cook. People just can’t and won’t wash up - annoying. Walls are paper thin, so bring earplugs if light sleeper!!

Not a good hostel, the kitchen was very very dirty, the dining room had only 8-10 chairs so it was way too small. Not enough sockets, only one for 4 beds... The only good point is that it's well located

Good hostel with a great location. Active social environment, pool Table and entry lounge at times bustling. I rated service, cleanliness and amenities as medium in a general sense, but were very good with the hostel lens on. Location was great for food, bars, logistics. I stayed several days here in a private room w/ shared bath after arriving in NZ to serve as a shopping and generally prepare location for a long walk- it was perfect for that!!
