The Stephen F Austin Royal Sonesta Hotel

My entire stay was first class. The location is central and close to major venues in downtown. The lobby and common spaces were very clean. The gym and pool were amazing, clean, and top tier. My room was spacious, clean, and quiet. I would definitely return to the Stephen F Austin Royal Sonesta.

I can not tell you how amazing the service was. I booked this place for my wedding night and they gave me an upgrade.

The tub shower was perfect. The hotel had the best gym equipment of any hotel I have ever stayed in.

They only have valet parking option. So if you're a park yourself type of person better not pay for their parking. But aside from that we had a great stay.

This is a gorgeous historic hotel, and on the whole we enjoyed our stay, but it is above an all-night speakeasy. 3 out of our 4 nights we had loud base drum sounds well into the morning. This was fine for the adults in our party who could sleep in ear plugs, but my daughter was kept up until 1-2am those 3 nights. If you’re a party of adults- 5 stars. If you have any children or sensitive sleepers- skip.

The property is in an amazing area for all things Austin. The staff was beyond hospitable from the moment I pulled up my car, valet, bell hop guests, front desk peeps, staff holding elevators of thy saw me approaching. Chilled after show with friends in the lobby with a night cap, comfy chairs n baquetttes. Bellhop valet took my my bags to store in car when I checked out though wasn’t heading to airport till after lunch. Gave me directions n where to gas up…top notch service from real humans!

Really great hotel location. The staff is amazing, especially Iris at the front desk. Good in the dining rooms was great and I enjoyed the ability to work out in a safe and clean gym. I will be coming back and bringing my fiancé next time.

This hotel is our favorite! From the friendly staff to the cloud-like bedding and great pillows! Rooms are clean and comfortable and the walls are thick. The 2nd floor bar area has an outdoor seating area that overlooks Congress which is fun for people-watching. There's also an outdoor section where my husband could smoke a cigar, which made him happy. The valet parking is amazing and the attendants go above and beyond to provide excellent service.
