Unacceptable conditions – we had to leave the hotel in the middle of the night. Did not look like the photos. We were looking forward to our stay in Ayia Napa, but our experience at this hotel was deeply disappointing and frankly shocking. Upon arrival, we were met by an unprofessional and unhelpful receptionist who ignored our questions and didn’t understand when we said we wanted to check out. He acted like nothing was wrong and offered no assistance. The room itself was in terrible condition. The towels were dirty, and it was obvious that the bed linen hadn’t been changed – it had simply been turned over after the previous guests. The mattress was so hard we could feel the springs. The air conditioning didn’t work and blew only hot air. On top of that, we found ants and a large insect or cockroach crawling on the floor. The door lock was broken and didn’t close securely, which made us feel unsafe. As if that wasn’t enough, there was extremely loud music and noise from outside all night – even at 4:30 in the morning. Sleeping was impossible. After a long day of travel, this was the last straw. We felt forced to leave the hotel at 5:00 AM and booked another hotel on our own, which cost us 21,000 NOK (around €1,800). We are now left with a significant financial loss. We have documented everything with photos and have filed complaints with the hotel and our travel provider. This hotel did not meet even the most basic standards of hygiene, safety, or service. I strongly advise others to stay away.
