"Compared to other islands, this place offers incredible value for money. It's a 45-minute boat ride from the mainland, quite a distance, but the water quality is far superior to those popular overwater bungalows just a few minutes offshore! The shuttle service and Chinese-speaking butler were both very patient. The whole island is quite large, and even though it was off-season, it's definitely worth a visit. Next to the restaurant, you can rent snorkeling gear for 20 MYR a day, so you can go snorkeling anytime, or book island-hopping tours to nearby islands."

"The room was very clean and tidy. The proprietress is Chinese, a lovely 'big sister' from Northeast China who is very welcoming. This hotel has all the standard amenities you'd expect from a hotel back home. I genuinely recommend it, especially since communication is a breeze. It's definitely worth recommending for anyone visiting Semporna."
Lato Lato Mun Resort
"Everything was absolutely amazing, except for the communication barrier. There wasn't anyone who spoke Chinese, and it was quite challenging to find the place before checking in. But for a 600 MYR air-conditioned triple room, what more could you ask for? You can literally jump into the sea to snorkel right from your doorstep, and at night, crabs and sea turtles make an appearance. With four meals a day included, you won't have any other expenses once you're on the water bungalow. Honestly, everything was perfect. Even though my darn boss scheduled a meeting for the entire afternoon, sitting on the balcony, feeling the sea breeze, and gazing at the ocean made everything wonderful. As for my PUA-ing boss, I'll just pretend he's a sea urchin. Remember to book your boat transfer to the water bungalow with the owner in advance; it's 100 MYR per person round trip. Chartering a boat yourself would be more expensive, and the owner might not be pleased."

"Although this hotel isn't located directly in town, they thoughtfully provide a shuttle service, so transportation is absolutely no concern. The customer service response time is incredibly fast overall, and any questions are answered promptly. As a new hotel, all the facilities are brand new and well-equipped, including smart toilets and smart curtains. The rooms are spotless and tidy, making for an excellent stay. The only minor issue is that the pool water was a bit cloudy. After booking, a butler proactively adds you on WeChat and provides detailed check-in instructions in advance, which is a very thoughtful service. Considering our early flight arrival, the butler even requested an early check-in from the owner for us. The front desk staff are gentle and friendly, and there's a Chinese-speaking butler available. Any requests made in the group chat are quickly addressed, ensuring seamless communication. We didn't try the hotel's dining this time, but browsing the menu, it's clear there's a wide variety of food options. The only slight drawback is that the prices are a bit high. Overall, it was a very comfortable and pleasant stay, highly recommended!"
