Welcome to A Hotel Chinatown, a heritage boutique hotel that celebrates the rich cultural fabric of Singapore’s historic heart. Housed in a lovingly restored 1920s shophouse along the storied Keong Saik Road, our hotel invites you to experience a side of the city where the past lingers beautifully amidst the modern rhythm of daily life.
Once home to Chinese merchants and later a colourful enclave filled with the stories of generations past, the building retains its Art Deco façade, complete with traditional timber shutters, hand-laid heritage tiles, and intricate ironwork details. Step inside, and you’ll find a thoughtfully redesigned space that blends the romance of old-world Singapore with fresh contemporary comforts — warm woods, clean lines, and soft lighting designed for rest and reflection.
Just a 6-minute walk from Outram Park and Chinatown MRT stations, A Hotel Chinatown places you in the middle of a living cultural district. From the vibrant walking streets of Pagoda and Trengganu, to the famed Maxwell Food Centre, Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, and hidden gems like Ann Siang Hill, your journey into Singapore’s heritage begins right at our doorstep.
Whether you're here for a soulful escape, a culinary adventure, or a stroll down memory lane, A Hotel Chinatown is more than a place to stay — it’s a place to belong.
"Before arriving, I saw online that this hotel's front desk staff could speak Chinese, so I booked it without hesitation. Upon arrival, Ms. Bingbing at the front desk was incredibly warm and friendly. We communicated entirely in Chinese without any issues, which made for a fantastic experience. The hotel's location is excellent, just a 3-minute walk to the subway station, making getting around super convenient. There are also tons of great restaurants nearby, and it's right next to Chinatown, making it lively and accessible. While the room size was a bit small, it was beautifully decorated, clean, and comfortable. For this price, the value for money is truly outstanding. Highly recommended!"
