The whole room was really nice, with great mountain and sea views. The restaurant food wasn't great, but it was inexpensive. The most comfortable thing was lying on the big sofa on the balcony, looking at the sea. The hotel also provided welcome drinks, which were a local specialty. However, the environment was a bit too wild. My clothes were hanging in the bathroom, got blown to the floor, and were eaten by insects, leaving two big holes. Also, the small road leading to the hotel was a bit bumpy, although the hotel did offer a shuttle bus. There weren't many special restaurants on the street outside the hotel, but there were durian vendors, and I bought two good ones for 60k.

Shared and outdoor bathroom and shower is only downside of this great hillside hotel. And super nice staff every one of them. View from cabins and restaurants are breathtaking.

Friendly staff, Villa is very cozy and calm, great view , large pool. minus star for cockroaches, should not be in hotels of that level.

One of the best views you will ever wake up to, we stayed in Villa Lana with the sun rise view. It’s in the middle of nowhere but I think that is a positive as it’s great to get away from everything. All you need is on the resort with two great restaurants and room service options

This place was a highlight of our trip! We stayed in the cabins up on the hill. The bathroom was separate but the views were spectacular and the cabin was comfy and gave us all we need. And for the cost it was perfect. A little like glamping, with walls 😄 The toilet block was very clean and the staff were excellent. There are two restaurants on site. Both are outstanding. For breakfast, lunch or dinner we were really impressed with the options, quality and value. There was yoga every morning in the most gorgeous setting. The spa was first class with hot sauna, infrared and cold plunge. And the treatments were first class. If we could live here we would! Highly recommend and would stay again.

Sumberkima has an excellent Social Media Team because what you see in the pictures is similar to what you get (room-wise). However, what they don’t tell you is how there is absolutely nothing there except the programmes and activities that they run (for a price, of course). Honestly, the villas itself are beautiful. So if you intend to just stay in and chill, it’s probably fine, but i’m not so sure if it’s really worth traveling all the way there for the views as the views were…okay. Moving around the Sumberkima Resort is also a challenge as it is very hilly and the roads are not paved well. They do provide a buggy service that you can call, but again, unless you are doing one of their programmes or activities, there really isn’t much to do or see. The types of people you see there are “influencer” types and seem to belong to the more hip, ‘eat, pray, love’ kind of crowd. So if that’s your thing, then great! TLDR; PROS: - - beautiful villas - great amenities in villa - room service available on request - buggy service responsive and good (can bring you to anywhere in Sumberkima town for free, but the town doesn’t have much. We spent our time going to Alfamart to stock up on instant noodles and snacks) - they have a Whatsapp chat for your villa specifically, so service is good - staff are very helpful and friendly - resort food was pretty good CONS: - it is farrrrrrr (but this could be a good thing too if you really want peace and quiet) - the closest clinic is in the next town (~15 mins by car…i fell violently ill 1 of the days and was concerned about receiving medical care, so i asked the hotel staff) - resort is difficult to get around - many mosquitoes and spiders - resort and area don’t have much facilities unless you do their activities or programmes - if your villa is near the Yoga Chalet, you will hear music from the sessions - you may also hear prayer calls from the Mosques nearby - if you’re more introverted, you may not enjoy the crowd that goes to these places

This hotel is ideal for a relaxing getaway, with a wide variety of activities and excellent restaurants. The breakfast is amazing. They also offer a superb massage service. We'll definitely be back.

A wonderful place far from civilization. Plenty of space, plenty of room to walk, perfect little houses, I'm delighted!

A great hotel with two restaurants and two pools, each with breathtaking views. The only two minor criticisms are: - Room Kesambi 1 is located directly under a high-voltage pylon. - The bathroom walls are infected by fungus. Aside from these two minor issues, the welcome was fantastic, the staff were wonderful, and the amenities were top-notch! I highly recommend it!

The hotel is suitable for spending one night and climbing the volcano 🌋 The road to the hotel is terrible, I do not recommend going by car at all. The room itself was clean, but without hand soap. The shower is terrible, the tap water is smelly. Breakfasts are prepared for you to choose from, there is tea. The atmosphere itself is like a camping trip, in the evening they lit a fire. There are a lot of residents in the hotel, so it can be quite noisy. The audibility is perfect. The staff is friendly and helpful. Do not be surprised by the huge number of flies, they are everywhere. Never before have I seen so many flies. I strongly recommend taking and putting on a mask when climbing the volcano. Flies accompany you the entire climb and climb right into your mouth. What a relief it was to leave this area after a successful climb.
