We stayed in the One Bedroom Plunge Pool Room with Lagoon Access. The room was cosy, stylish, and had its own private plunge pool at the top of the villa. However, because the room also had direct access to the main lagoon pool just outside the doors, we rarely used the private pool. The lagoon was beautifully lit at night, making the whole area feel very relaxing.
The only downside was the large blockout blind on the main pool-facing doors, which also doubled as the projector screen. As people could see directly into the villa from the pool area and the bathroom and toilet have glass doors, we were constantly opening and closing the blind for privacy. This also made the room quite dark during the day. Installing sheer curtains on the doors would provide privacy while still allowing natural light into the room, making the space much more practical.
The hotel is located on a busy main road, so walking outside wasn’t particularly enjoyable due to the constant traffic and noise. However, it’s only around a 10-minute scooter ride (depending on traffic) to the main area of Canggu, where you’ll find the beach clubs, shops, cafés, and restaurants.
There is construction around the hotel, which seems fairly common in Bali, but it was noticeable, especially early in the morning, and could be heard from the room. We did get used to it as the stay went on.
Overall, the hotel is very nice. Compared with my previous stays in Seseh and Ubud, it was around twice the price but if same standard as the other places, didn’t get anything more for the price. While the location is convenient if you’re getting around by scooter, it wasn’t ideal for walking, as the busy road, traffic, and noise made it feel more like being beside a main highway than in a relaxing holiday destination.
