Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan

The Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan is an excellent choice for experiencing the jungle and rice paddies. The hotel service is outstanding, and the rafting experience is super convenient, with the finishing point right at the lobby. Our butler was incredibly attentive, responding to all our requests quickly and efficiently. They even surprised us with a Chinese cake for National Day, which was such a lovely touch! Highly recommended!

First and foremost, I'd like to commend the excellent service at Four Seasons. I'm also grateful the hotel upgraded us to a villa during the peak summer season; my family absolutely loved it. There's honestly not much to fault. The breakfast at Sayan was also fantastic. If I had to nitpick, it would be these two points: 1) Limited dining options. There are only two restaurants: the riverside pool restaurant and the BBQ at the main building. I’ve already provided this feedback to the hotel's customer experience manager. UBUD's traffic is quite bad and congested, so once you're checked in, you generally don't want to bother taking a taxi to eat in the center. 2) The hotel's three-hour rafting activity was significantly more expensive than those offered on Klook; it was over 2000 for three people. Of course, we ended up choosing a third-party option in the end.

The environment here is truly beautiful, and our riverfront pool villa was very comfortable, although not very private as kayaks would pass by frequently, and the pool itself was quite small. The in-villa dining was excellent, highly recommended. Breakfast was decent, but after three days, it got a bit repetitive with not many choices. Personally, I don't think this Four Seasons offers good value for money, especially during peak season; paying nearly 20,000 a night and not even getting a complimentary airport transfer is disappointing. The service was only average, perhaps because there were many guests, or maybe it's just that we had just come from staying at an Aman resort for a few days – there's no harm in comparison, and Aman's service is truly top-tier. So, coming to the Four Seasons felt a bit anticlimactic. The Four Seasons I stayed at in Koh Samui last time was much better than this one.

Staying at the Four Seasons Sayan in Ubud again after ten years, the overall environment still maintains its unique tranquil atmosphere, far from the hustle and bustle, making it incredibly healing and relaxing. The grounds are lush with greenery, layers of vibrant foliage greet you everywhere, and the garden landscaping is meticulously maintained, showing care in every detail. We made sure to visit the riverside restaurant, and the food was delicious and suited our taste; my child particularly loved it. The hotel service deserves commendation; every staff member had a smile on their face and treated us with warmth and courtesy. However, there were two small disappointments: While the Four Seasons room rate is quite high among Ubud hotels, all snacks and drinks in the mini-fridge in the pool rooms require extra payment, and even breakfast delivered to the room incurs an additional charge, which significantly detracts from the value for money. Also, the hotel's activity offerings haven't been updated or changed much over the years, which is a bit of a shame.

An absolutely amazing experience! The hotel is not far from Ubud, yet it feels wonderfully secluded. The spa treatment was incredibly relaxing, and we even got a complimentary upgrade to a villa. The service was excellent, and the environment was truly beautiful.

Really great! The hotel staff recognized me and called out my name the second time I had breakfast. I was very touched.
