Quiet retreat area nestled in the cool mountains. For me a return and for my spouse a first visit. The highlight was a bird watching walk with specialist guide Pak Wayan. Wayan was an amazing spotter and knew all the local birds in English. Apparently he speaks Japanese as well. Even just sitting in the restaurant with morning coffee was a bit of a bird paradise with views over the tree canopy on the slope below. Very comfortable bed, good internet and hot water. Restaurant had excellent vegetarian options. It takes a little more time to get there so so it is not a quick "drop by" place. The small village is the last before going up trails to the mountain for hiking. Try the fern tips dishes - a local treat fresh from the garden.

A hotel nestled in the mountain, in the form of chalets distributed in the garden (some accommodating 2 accommodations). The setting is magnificent, in nature, quiet (slightly set back in the mountains), conducive to relaxation. The view from the restaurant is very beautiful. The cuisine was very good, the dishes finer than what we ate elsewhere on Bali. The bedding is very comfortable. We took advantage of the massages (relaxing and Balinese), just perfect. It rained late in the afternoon the 2 days we were there but it was not disturbing and this is probably what allows us to have this lush vegetation. The staff were friendly and attentive, the front desk manager even helped us deal with a difficulty with our travel agent that was none of his business. They are committed to making our stay as pleasant as possible. A real favorite !

Absolutely perfect. We went as a family with 2 children aged 2 and 4. The staff is magical. We were able to cook with the chef one evening. The meals are divine, the landscape is perfect. Go there with your eyes closed. We stayed 5 days instead of 2...
