Aksari Resort Ubud by Ini VIE Hospitality

The staff asked me to leave a review before I checked out, so here it is. First, I definitely don't recommend coming here straight from the airport on your first day in Bali. It's incredibly remote, a two-hour drive, which is pure torture after a long-haul flight. The hotel itself is small, and there's absolutely nothing around it. If your goal isn't just to completely relax, I wouldn't suggest making the long journey out here. Then there's the room rate of 3400 (including tax), and the pool isn't even heated, which is quite baffling. Breakfast was included, and they recommended a floating breakfast but didn't explicitly mention the 600K charge. If breakfast wasn't included, I wouldn't mind paying, but having it included yet ending up with a limited option and only finding out about the 600K debt upon checkout is a bit bewildering. The food isn't great, and the cocktails aren't much better. The bathtub didn't have hot water late at night, and it took two people to finally get some running, but it was just a trickle, taking an hour to fill the tub. Overall, there's absolutely nothing impressive about this place. It's not bad, but I don't think it's worth the price.

We had a wonderful honeymoon in Ubud! The staff were incredibly friendly, and we loved the clean, peaceful, and beautiful accommodation. The shuttle to Ubud Market was especially convenient and made our trip much easier. 🩷

We stayed here for our honeymoon! All the staff were incredibly friendly and always greeted us with a bright smile whenever we passed the front desk, which made us feel really good. We were also thrilled to find our room had been upgraded! Thank you so much! The honeymoon towel art was a lovely touch as well. The hotel is nestled deep in the mountains, so access isn't the best, but that means you're surrounded by nature. I'm honestly terrified of bugs, but even though we were in a jungle setting, no large insects ever got into our room, which made it very comfortable (a few ants are to be expected, of course!). We booked a plan that included breakfast for two days, and the buffet was absolutely delicious! On our second day, I really wanted to try the floating breakfast. We requested it, but it didn't count as an upgrade; instead, our existing breakfast plan was canceled, and we had to pay the full price for the floating breakfast, which was a little disappointing. If you're considering the floating breakfast, it might be more cost-effective to book a room-only plan and add it on site. Overall, we were extremely satisfied! This hotel comes highly recommended. ^ ^

My stay was wonderful and comfortable. All the staff were friendly and went out of their way to make guests comfortable, especially Okta.
