Villa Mandi Ubud Reviews

We stayed at Villa Mandi Ubud for three nights and had a pleasant overall experience. The villa is located in a quieter area outside the busy center of Ubud, which we really appreciated. It’s about a 15-minute ride into town, and having parking available was convenient. The staff were friendly and helpful. During check-in there was a bit of a language barrier, but the other staff members we interacted with later spoke English well, so communication wasn’t an issue after that. The swimming pool was clean and enjoyable, although the bottom of the pool could use some maintenance. There were quite a few ants around the property and plenty of geckos, but that’s fairly typical for tropical areas like Ubud. Our room was comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious and well designed. One thing to note is that the hot water only lasted around 10 minutes, so longer showers weren’t really possible. The room also didn’t have a desk, which may be inconvenient if you need to work during your stay. Breakfast was fairly limited, as you could only choose one meal and one drink from the restaurant’s menu. The bed sheets could have been cleaner, while the towels were in acceptable condition. Overall, Villa Mandi offers good value if you’re looking for a peaceful place away from the crowds. While there are a few areas that could be improved, we still enjoyed our stay and found it to be a comfortable base for exploring Ubud.

Villa Mandi Ubud offers good value for money. The rooms are a bit dark and the lighting is quite pale, but overall there isn’t much to complain about. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the restaurant is reasonably priced with tasty food. A pleasant stay overall. They don’t provide toothbrushes and pastes .

Have a great location, however when we arrive the pool wasn’t clean and not even working. With chipped tiles in several locations. Finally, worked for couple of hours the next day and still quite dirty. As traveller, just don’t feel comfortable with 2 nights stay.

The staff are very nice and welcoming. Always ready to help and very convenient at anytime for their customers.

Location and staff is the only plus. Rooms not clean. Plumbing needs maintenance. Bathrooms looking so old n unhygienic.

An average hotel with a poor breakfast. Would we stay again? If choosing a room, I'd recommend no lower than a standard one. Enjoy your stay.

A wonderful, beautiful, and quiet place with a wonderful warung and staff ready to help with any questions. I was absolutely delighted! You can admire the stunning sunsets right from the slopes.

The hotel is a bit far from the center. You order breakfast the night before. The staff are helpful. Overall, it's good.

Beautiful green area. The cleaning in the rooms is disgusting. The plumbing needs to be replaced. The rooms are dirty! Joglo villas need renovation. I do not recommend staying with children.

Overall price/quality. The area is all green, it is very pleasant to relax by the pool. The room was clean except the bathroom (the sink/shower floor was dirty). We stayed for three nights, the room was not cleaned, we asked for replacement towels ourselves. For breakfast there is a choice of several dishes (omelet/eggs in other variations/coffee/tea/juice). We lived in a room near the entrance, the pump was very noisy.

Villa Mandi is a place to stay close to the centre of Ubud, so you can be in the centre in just 10-15 minutes by motorbike. However, the road it is on is a bit noisy in the mornings as all the motorbikes go by. They are currently building more bungalows and villas so the noise in the morning was quite annoying. The pool was not comfortable either due to the proximity of the construction work. The warung mandi is a place where the best thing is their pizzas, baked on the spot by a very good pizzaiolo or cook who makes great pizzas. The rest of the dishes are not very big so you tend to leave hungry, so I recommend the pizza. It cannot be said that it is the best place to stay in Ubud. The best thing about Villa Mandi is its current human team and reception staff, which is incredible. Specifically, the receptionist Dini is the best, most affectionate, friendly and professional person we have met during our holidays in Bali. We would like to congratulate Dini for helping us at all times by recommending local shops, places to withdraw money, buy gifts and visit Ubud. A big hug to Dini, people as good, as kind and professional as this are hard to find. A big hug to the staff.
