We had the Penthouse. A divine set up of room, balconies and everything-a home away from home. Sadly the housekeeping was NOT 100%~Old dirt in the stairway, hot tubs had old stale water giving room a bad odour. Otherwise service was amazing and staff a delight. We going back next year

We always come there every winter and had never got such great friendly and lovely waitron pouring all his heart out to us. We really had a great stay for our honeymoon such an excellent service we had from Pablo Escobar. Lol we laughed off when we heard that name in africa. Thanks to your great staff as a whole especially Pablo we'll be back because of him. Lamontagne for life.

The absolute worst place we’ve ever stayed. As a family that travels wide, we couldn’t believe this hotel. Horrible! Mold everywhere in the rooms, water damage on every wall, small room even the 2bedroom, rude staff, This smell of cigarette smoke filling our rooms in the middle of the night from the vents, our keys didn’t work every time we tried to use them, the loud music all day and night, the pool was dirty, the elevator floor feeling like it was going to break through the floor when stepped on. It reminded me of a 1900s pirate ship and smelt like one. DO NOT STAY HERE! Believe when I say to save your money and stay somewhere else.

We had been enjoying a lovely day on Ballito main beach, and decided to pop into LA Montagne to grab some toasted sandwiches for lunch. Besides the fact that it was not very busy and the toasted sandwiches took over an hour, the staffs attitude was appalling. Two of the arrogant waiters that served us had nonchalant attitudes as if they were doing us a favor, despite the fact that South Africa has one of the highest unemployment rates in the world, and thousands of others would love to have their job. They also got our white/brown bread selection wrong, and the extra tomato for the ham and cheese sandwich that we ordered and were charged for was missing. Will definitely never be recommending a stay here.

Unfortunately the Pool and Hotel were under mainteance and the Sea was off limits due to Ecoli count. I am disabled and Flew down. with no where to go and no where to swim, i was stuck. I then found out other guests were notified when booking there trip. I was NOT. i complained at the time and was told somethung would be done to compensate the bad experience ... I am still waiting ovwer a year later and have not been back since. Word of advice check what is happening renovation or maintenance wise and check what the current testing levvels of Ecoli are or you could be in for a nasty shock.

I had an amazing time from the minute I walked into reception. Just sitting on the sun deck and taking in the magnificent ocean view, whilst enjoying cocktails from B-Bar & pizza from Montnelli's Pizzeria.
