Six on Castle

There are a few exceptional coffee shops in Devon and Cornwall and this is one of them. Lovely rooms too!

this delightful welcoming and friendly cafe is tasteful, relaxing and has become my regular saturday morning visit for wonderful coffee and a range of delicious freshly home baked temptations. very nice, interesting local customers, made to feel totally at home by the super south african owners steve and debbie who do everything personally and warmly. artistic, rustic atmosphere with a roaring log fire in colder months and two or three really lovely guest rooms which you will not want to leave !! this is a rare find right in the heart of rural devon in a pretty village. number six on castle street is a venue that you should not miss because it is very special indeed.

this was a great find for gorgeous coffee and amazing overnight oats... so friendly and welcoming... we also picked up a delicious freshly baked spelt loaf on friday. would highly recommend as a pit-stop when visiting dulverton or tiverton.

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights over Easter. The room, and property were utterly charming and full of character. Steve and Debbie are such great hosts, who will seemingly stop at nothing to ensure you have the best stay. This included delivering gourmet coffee & pastries to our room for breakfast, and hosting our family for a delicious supper in their beautiful dining room. Steve treated us to risotto, and a delicious salad. At a time when prices seem to be rising beyond reality, on pretty much everything, it is refreshing to be able to say we felt the weekend was great value. So nice to pay a bill and not feel robbed for a change! It’s probably an over-used expression, but I can say with certainty that we will definitely be returning!

Fantastic coffee & cake stop! Best homemade lemon meringue ever!! Very friendly and welcoming to wet cyclists and bike parking always a plus in small town venues ☺️ Lovely selection of cakes and great atmosphere! Love the quirky style too!
