Terrible Stay – First and Last Visit
I booked this hotel based on its many positive reviews, but unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. I had reserved a Super Deluxe Room with 1 Queen Bed and 1 Single Bed. However, upon entering the room, I was shocked to find that the hotel had assigned us a room with 2 single beds instead. Exhausted from traveling, I had to go back down to the reception to clarify the issue. The staff informed me that there had been a system error and provided us with a new room key while my husband remained in the original room. When my family and I entered the replacement room, we were once again shocked to discover that the room had not been cleaned after the previous guest checked out. The room was dirty and clearly still occupied moments before. I had to return to the front desk yet again and speak directly with the manager. The manager apologized and personally escorted us to another room after checking availability. Unfortunately, the problems did not end there.
On the second night of our stay, while my family and I were resting in our room, someone attempted to unlock and enter our room. Both parties were surprised when they informed us that the hotel had assigned our room number to them. This raises a serious concern regarding guest privacy and security. What if we had not been inside the room and had left our valuables unattended? Who would have been responsible? We advised the guests to return to reception as it was likely that the hotel had assigned them the wrong room. What is even more alarming is that this was not an isolated incident. During our stay, we witnessed at least 2–3 other guests being assigned rooms that were already occupied. This is a serious breach of privacy and demonstrates extremely poor room management practices.
Regarding cleanliness, the hotel was far below acceptable standards. There were strands of hair all over the floor, and the overall cleanliness was poor. On the second day, we requested housekeeping service, but when we returned at around 5:00 PM, the room had still not been cleaned. Fortunately, I happened to find a cleaner in the hallway and asked them to clean the room immediately. What was even more disturbing was observing the housekeeping trolley. Dirty and clean bed linens were mixed together, and a toilet brush was placed next to beverage stir sticks, which raises serious concerns about hygiene and housekeeping standards.
Overall, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. Between the room assignment errors, security concerns, poor cleanliness, delayed housekeeping, and unacceptable hygiene practices, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. It appears that standards may have declined since the management changed from Amansari Hotel to Fives Hotel. While I cannot comment on past operations, my recent stay was extremely disappointing and did not reflect the positive reviews that influenced my booking decision.
This was our first stay here, and it will definitely be our last!!!!
