The Capital Residence Suites

The staff at Capital Suites are incredibly friendly and welcoming. They offer airport pick-up service and a half-day tour (the half-day tour is only available for guests staying two nights or more in a premium room or higher). We chose the two-bedroom apartment, and the interior space was very generous, with a separate kitchen, washing machine, and a large living room. This is an excellent hotel choice for family travel.

I booked this hotel after finding out on YouTube that they offer free airport transfers. I rebooked when the price dropped closer to my stay. At the airport, someone was waiting with a name board. They were a bit further back, but seeing my name board was reassuring. The driver was so kind; when I mentioned the beautiful mosque at night, they even made a short stop for me, which I really appreciated. Breakfast was a simple buffet. The shower enclosure had a proper door that closed, making it easy to use. One thing to note is that the air conditioning in the room turns off completely when you remove the room key, so it can get stuffy when you first enter. Surprisingly, there were quite a few Japanese guests. The laundry near Brunei Hotel is about an 8-10 minute walk away. The sidewalks and traffic lights made it an easy walk. If you walk along the river, you'll find water villages and boats soliciting for monkey tours. Fridays are a good day for a water tour since many shops and mosques are closed. This hotel is in a great location for sightseeing and is reasonably priced, so I highly recommend it!

The hotel staff were all very kind and made our stay very comfortable. We were also able to book a city tour. There was a washing machine in the room, which was convenient for laundry.

No room amenities provided. The hairdryer had the wrong plug, so I had to go to reception to borrow an adapter. However, it includes airport transfer and breakfast, so for this price, I highly recommend this quality of accommodation! It's also close to tourist attractions, which is perfect.

The hotel environment is quite good, and they offer free airport shuttle service. You need to email them a day in advance to arrange a pickup. We forgot to contact them beforehand, so we took a taxi back to the hotel. It cost 10.5 BND and took about 15-20 minutes. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, and we were able to store our luggage for free on the day we checked out.

The location is super convenient, you can walk directly to the city center, and the sunset view from the room is beautiful! 🌅

I used this hotel for a transit stay. Upon arrival, the hotel's shuttle staff was immediately available, making the transfer to the hotel smooth and convenient. The location is great, with many attractions within walking distance, and there's a night market nearby, which is a big plus. The bathroom was also clean, which was nice. For breakfast, there weren't many options, but there was toast, jam, and drinks, which was perfectly fine for my child's breakfast. Just note that toothbrushes are not provided in the room, so you'll need to bring your own.

The hotel offers free airport shuttle service, which is a great perk. The hotel staff member who picked us up, named Boy (haha), was incredibly enthusiastic, talkative, and attentive. He constantly pointed out the scenic spots along the way. The hotel's location is also excellent. You can walk to the Royal Regalia Museum and the Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque. There's also a small night market right outside the hotel where you can find local snacks in the evening. Considering the hotel's price point, the breakfast was quite decent, offering coffee, tea, milk, toast, scrambled eggs, local snacks, and fruits. However, the room facilities are a bit dated, and the provided toiletries are quite basic. But the biggest area for improvement is hygiene. I was surprised to find an empty water bottle and a used towel left by the previous guest in my room. The housekeeping department really needs to step up its game.
