Hotel stays in Banff during the summer are incredibly expensive, but since we didn't have a car, staying in Banff was much more convenient, so we chose Charltons Hotel. The results exceeded our expectations! The hotel room was very spacious, with two separate rooms: one with a double bed and another with two single beds. It also had a kitchen for simple cooking, equipped with basic utensils, cups, dishes, a microwave, and more. We could buy ingredients from the nearby supermarket and cook at the hotel, which was very convenient. The hotel is located on the outskirts of Banff Avenue, about a 10-minute walk to the busiest shops on the main street. There's also a bus stop nearby, making it very easy to get around. The hotel also provides free bus passes to guests, which is a huge plus!

This hotel was more reasonably priced compared to others during peak season, but still quite expensive. Banff's peak season is truly bustling! It's about a 15-minute walk from the town center, roughly a kilometer away, surrounded by various accommodations. The hotel itself is quite old. When we checked in, the elevator was broken, and we needed a bellhop to help us with our luggage. The room facilities were dated; the bedside lamp on the first night was broken, and the power outlet wasn't working. We asked the front desk to have someone fix it the next day. The room was quite warm, likely due to underfloor heating, and it was cleaned reasonably well. The two rooms plus the small kitchenette were comfortable. The shower had good water pressure and hot water, and complimentary bottled water was provided. The hotel is quite large, seemingly circular, and it's easy to get lost trying to find your room number. There's plenty of parking, which is convenient, but it costs CAD 14.99 per night. There's also a resort fee to pay upon arrival. The front desk service was decent, and coffee and hot water were available on the first floor.

The hotel is located on Banff Avenue, less than 1 km from the town center. It offers free bus passes for the duration of your stay, and there's a bus stop just outside the hotel that goes to the town center and the gondola station.

We stayed here for 2 nights during our trip to Banff. It's located right on the main street. While it's a bit of a walk to the areas with more shops and restaurants, there's a bus stop very close by, so we just used the local shuttle bus for shopping and dining and didn't find it inconvenient at all. They even provided free shuttle bus tickets. It was also really convenient that the Calgary airport shuttle and various tours could be boarded and disembarked near the hotel. The room, although a bit older, was clean and even had a hot tub, which was perfect for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. We opted out of breakfast this time, but they gave us tickets to purchase breakfast for $15.

It was alright. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, which was a big plus. There was a good variety of tea bags and beverages, and the location was great. However, the hygiene could use some improvement.

Great location, and very cozy, the services was great. Reception was very helpful. I would recommend it to everyone.

2* Hotel for the price of a 5*. The hotel overall needs updating - looking very worn. You're just paying for the location

Great location with ski shuttles and bus station around. They have ski locker/house to store skis !!!

everything is fine until when I got home , I realised that they charge me around $6900 on my credit card without telling me at check out date . I have fully paid on trip. com and the hotel should know, since the staff only ask me to provided a credit card for security deposit of CAD 100 when I check in . Only after I went back to HK and when I check my credit card bill, I realised that they charge me approxiate 2 nights' fee without ever telling me at all .Now I have to spend time to email the hotel and ask for customer support to deal with that . It's an complete waste of time when everything was prepaid and that shouldn't happens at all.

This hotel is located at the edge of Banff's main hotel area, so it's a bit of a walk from downtown. It was nice to always have coffee available.

The hotel is quite old. The hallways weren't very clean, and while the room itself was okay, it definitely felt dated, though clean enough. Parking was convenient, but it came with an extra charge, plus an additional resort fee. Maybe it's because it was peak season, but it didn't feel like good value for money. Facilities: Run-down

Overall, my stay was very satisfying. From check-in to check-out, the staff were incredibly kind and consistently provided attentive service, which left a strong impression on me. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable, allowing me to fully recover from my travels. The bathroom facilities were also well-maintained, which I appreciated. The location was excellent, with restaurants and shops nearby, making it very convenient for sightseeing and dining. Access to public transportation was also good, which made getting around a breeze. The hotel itself had a quiet and calm atmosphere, allowing me to rest peacefully at night. This is a hotel I would definitely like to use again if I have the opportunity. Thank you for a comfortable stay.

Very friendly & obliging staff at check in & also when checking out. Room was very clean although small with too much furniture we felt. As overseas travellers with 2 large cases we had to move some of the furniture to be able to open them. There were 2 large easy chairs plus a desk chair. Also the tv which was very large was on top of a cupboard completely blocking the mirror on the wall. The hotel is in a fairly good position about 20 minutes to the centre of town.
