The most expensive night of this trip, over 2800 for a room with two queen beds and a balcony, located at the easternmost end of Banff Avenue. There's a spa in the basement. Check-out is a bit early at 11 AM. There's a Vietnamese pho place in Banff, but it turned out to be run by Chinese owners; we had stir-fried mixed vegetables and pho. Overall, Banff feels very commercialized; I think Jasper is quieter and more scenic.

Our stay at Caribou Lodge was perfect! Exactly what we were expecting. The proximity to downtown is great - 10 minute walk or you could take the ROAM bus straight downtown. The hotel has character and we had the perfect stay. All staff was super friendly and inviting. The front desk employee was super helpful and explained our ROAM passes and the other amenities perfectly. Loved that Rocky Mountain Soap Co was in all the bathrooms, too! All in all, a great experience for a great price and I would highly recommend it.

Lovely hotel walking distance to downtown Banff Have stayed here many times over the years, and its charm has never changed. The keg is on site and offers a great breakfast or steak in the evening

Hotel is a bit far from town but it provides free town shuttle. We booked the balcony room hoping to get a better view. We have rooms with big trees in front. When asked if we can change rooms, he won’t change since it’s not booked direct. The balcony room has little heat as the heater is smaller and the room is colder.
