Golden Empire Suvarnabhumi Hotel

The hygiene was good, but it's a bit out of the way. It's about 20km from the airport, and a taxi costs around 300 baht. I've stayed a few times already, but next time I'll try somewhere a bit more lively, haha.

I have no idea how this place got its five-star rating; it barely feels a step above a budget hotel. The hallway reeked of a sour, funky smell, possibly due to a lack of air conditioning or something else, which instantly turned me off. The room itself was just average—it had everything you'd expect, but the facilities were pretty basic. The location is also quite remote, tucked away in a small alley with no subway access nearby. Honestly, for this price, it's cheap enough. But if I had another chance, I wouldn't choose to stay here again. Also, the front desk asked for a 500 Baht deposit, but I think they charged me 600, and I just didn't bother arguing about it later.

The hotel is very nice and modern. We arrived in the evening and were well received. There's a swimming pool and room service available. Unfortunately, the cleaning staff don't speak English, so it's a bit difficult to communicate.

The customer service was good, and the room size was reasonable with decent amenities. However, the mini-fridge was still not cold even after they replaced it. The location is a bit out of the way, so you definitely need to call a car to get around.
