Grand Mercure properties in Bangkok

The service was excellent, and on our last day, they thoughtfully left us some chocolates in the room. When we first arrived, we didn't have enough local currency for the deposit, and they were very understanding and waived it. There were a lot of Indian guests. The breakfast buffet was just okay; it was pretty much the same every day for the week we stayed.

The location is good, in Sukhumvit Soi 19, about a five-minute walk from BTS ASOK station. There are several massage shops, two 711s, and several restaurants on the way. There are many restaurants in the Terminal 21 shopping mall at the intersection. The room is super big, 80 square meters, with two bathrooms and a balcony. The facilities are a little old but very clean, and the daily cleaning service is also good. All the employees I met, from the parking lot at the door, to the front desk receptionist to the cleaners, are very friendly. Pet-friendly, I met some people walking their dogs in the morning. Smoking-friendly, because there is a balcony, you can smoke on the balcony. The price is pretty good, I plan to stay there for another week in July. But the room price seems to be a little higher than this time, it would be better if it could be lower. A little flaw, the ditch at the door smells too strong, maybe this is normal in Bangkok
