Le d'Tel Bangkok

Almost every time I stay in the Sathorn area, this hotel's location on Suan Phlu 6 is fantastic. There's a 7-Eleven right outside and a massage parlor directly across the street, plus a fruit stand. You'll also find a Kasikorn Bank ATM and a local market just a bit further down, surrounded by street food stalls and great eateries. The hotel isn't super high-rise, but the rooms are clean and the bedding is soft and comfortable. I've even got a photo of the intersection!

The room had three mirrors, and one was facing the bed, which was a decent spot. The price was also very reasonable. There's a pool on the top floor with a great view. If you're just looking for a place to sleep, it's pretty good. Oh, but the biggest, biggest pain point is that there are no outlets by the bed! The shower gel and shampoo smelled really nice. The water quality was definitely poor; I'd recommend using the provided bottled water for rinsing and buying water to drink.

The front desk service was terrible. The hotel's bedsheets were patched up, and they initially refused to give me a power card on a hot day. It took a lot of effort to finally get one. The price was quite high, not cheap at all, and the front desk staff were very arrogant.

The room was a bit small, and the bed moved around too easily. One afternoon, I specifically asked the front desk to clean the room, but when I returned over three hours later, it still hadn't been done. When they finally came to clean, I waited in the hallway, which had no air conditioning. It was over 30 degrees Celsius, and I was sweating just standing there. But the most unbearable thing was the swimming pool – they must have put too much chlorine in it. After just one swim, my hair and teeth felt incredibly dry and rough. I've never experienced anything like it in my life. As someone who loves swimming, I went in twice and then dared not go again. I've been washing my hair twice a day, and it still feels rough even today, at check-out. Absolutely awful.

The location is decent, with plenty of 7-Elevens nearby. It's about a 15-20 minute walk to the G.O.D bar. The front desk staff were very polite. I stayed in room 209, a corner room, and the cover panel for the bathroom pipe box was open. That was a minor issue, but everything else was fine.
