Avani Plus Riverside Bangkok Hotel Reviews

We booked a package with breakfast and dinner. The room needs some maintenance, as there were stains and marks around. Dinner was three dishes (drinks not included) served on the 11th floor, the same floor as check-in. Afterwards, we went up to the rooftop hoping for a better view. The best parts were the location, the staff, and the breakfast buffet. Overall, it felt a bit not good value for the money.

Rooms was nice, cosy and clean. Only concern I had was the toilet bowl/seat/cover have a bad smell. Perhaps using cleaning products with fragrance would help, right now it smells like too much bleach or chlorine cleaning products.

Avani+ is an excellent hotel. This was my second stay, although in a different room category this time. I had no issues or complaints about the Junior Suite — I absolutely loved everything about the room, especially the view. As a frequent traveler, I understand that the standard check-in time is 3:00 PM. However, I’ve observed a common practice in most hotels (including Avani+): after completing the check-in process, guests are told that the room will only be ready at 3:00 PM. At the same time, no one asks about the guest’s check-out time, flight schedule, or whether it’s their first stay. When I explained who I was and mentioned my previous stay, the reception staff quickly arranged a room for me, and it was ready within 30 minutes. My suggestion is this: if rooms are available, please don’t keep guests waiting unnecessarily - especially those traveling with children. Paying attention to such small details can significantly enhance the guest experience. Aside from this, I genuinely loved everything about the hotel. However, I did notice that some reception staff didn’t seem very welcoming. They appeared rushed and somewhat disorganized, which can affect the first impression.

Great hotel on the waterfront..room had a fantastic view of the river..also tried the rooftop bar/restaurant but wasn't a fan of their cocktails or the food ...maybe caught them on a bad day

Decent business hotel. Room is clean but a bit old and some parts could benefit from a facelift. But has everything needed and it’s next to a mall if you don’t want to eat in hotel.

Nice hotel very poor service and  not a comfortable place to stay . Comparing to the other hotels around this area  room rates high

As always it's a pleasure for me to come back. The great breakfast and the super friendly stuff make it a really nice experience. Also the rooftop pool and bar are unique.

Hotel was luxurious, clean and spacious. There’s a rooftop infinity pool was with a really nice view. There’s room overlooks the river and is nearby to Iconsiam. The only “bad” thing I could think of is the location, it’s not really near the city area, you have to cross the bridge and traffic is quite bad. However if you like to explore the calmness of Bangkok and to relax, this hotel is suitable for you!

When I was researching hotels for my Bangkok stay, it was important to have a view of the Chao Phraya River. The images of the Avani showed great dining options, rooms with views, and a generally upscale feel. Well, the pictures didn't lie. The hotel is gorgeous! The breakfast is bountiful, varied, and delicious. Sunrise gifts you a spectacular view and sunset at the rooftop bar does not disappoint. Something the pictures don't capture are just how fragrant the entire hotel is. The whole place smells like a spa. This hotel is not in a busy part of town, but that was just fine for me. We used Bolt and Grab to get around and that worked seamlessly. My daughter and I loved our stay and would gladly recommend this place to anyone visiting Bangkok.
