This stay at the Sun Island Resort in Bangkok was exactly as dilapidated as the pictures suggested, making it arguably the worst accommodation experience of my Bangkok trip. The money I spent was a complete waste. From a hygiene perspective, the corners of the bed were covered in yellowish-brown stains, there was obvious mold on the baseboards, the bathroom sink was cracked, and the cleaning was so perfunctory that visible dirt wasn't even addressed, making me question whether the hotel had any proper cleaning procedures. The aging of the facilities was even more appalling: the door handles were oxidized and loose, the air conditioner remote control was yellowed and the buttons were malfunctioning, and the lights and cabinets in the room were all old and worn, like staying in an unmaintained old apartment, with absolutely no comfort befitting a resort hotel! The minibar was a no-nonsense place; they charged you for every drink you made without even informing you! It was clearly an attempt to rip you off! Even more outrageous, this hotel was practically a motel. At 1 a.m., the noise from outside in the hallway was incredibly loud! The service was nonexistent. This hotel doesn't deserve the resort hotel fees at all. I sincerely advise everyone to avoid it and not let it ruin your trip to Bangkok!

It is very close to the Bangkok LV Museum and there are many department stores nearby. The room is very large and very suitable for families and friends to visit together. There are many delicious restaurants nearby. Will come again next time.

The hotel is very clean and tidy, and the overall service is also very good, but the sound insulation is not very good. You can hear the sound of mahjong in other rooms, which makes it a bit uneasy to live here. We live near the road, and the window view is good. Overall, it can be given a score of 4.9.

The room is big and comfortable. The hotel is about 10 minutes' walk from Chit Lom Station, and the traffic conditions are average. There are two 7-11 nearby, so shopping is very convenient. The front desk was friendly and welcoming and made me feel right at home.

The room is OK, with large space and complete electrical appliances. The service is average. Disposable slippers and shower caps were provided on the first day, but not in the following days. Disposable slippers were not provided even when asked for at the front desk. The room is close to the road and a little noisy, but acceptable.
