GGuest UserMy kids love antique architecture, so we chose this homestay on our way to Zhangjiajie after some comparison. As soon as I booked, the housekeeper called, added me on WeChat, and immediately created a multi-person service group. They upgraded our room for free. The homestay is at the foot of the mountain, with a great view of the mountains from the window. The room was spacious, and the facilities were brand new and worked perfectly. The breakfast was a mix of Western and Chinese, very rich, and they even made fresh beef noodles. Since we were there in winter, they had a fireplace, and we enjoyed breakfast while admiring the scenery outside. The homestay has two super fluffy cats; the kids especially loved the one named 'Bread' – it was incredibly gentle. It even dozed off on my child's lap while we were eating breakfast, so relaxed! The homestay is very stylishly designed. The staff helped us plan our travel itinerary, booked tickets, and the housekeeper even gave us rides to the National Forest Park. We originally planned to stay one night, but the kids begged to stay another, so we did! If we ever get a chance to visit Zhangjiajie again, we'll definitely stay here.

GGuest UserWow, this hotel truly exceeded all our expectations. Everything about our stay was exceptional, and I can confidently say there was not a single fault.
From the very beginning, we felt incredibly welcomed by the staff. We were greeted downstairs at the door, our luggage was taken care of, and we were even offered tea and a hot towel, which was such a nice gesture.
Before we were escorted to our room, the staff even helped us to change into slippers (outside shoes aren’t allowed past the lobby). One of the staff members then accompanied us to the room and explained every detail about it, something I’ve never experienced before. The room itself was also spotless and very comfortable. The shower was spacious, and the toiletries provided were of high quality.
I also wanted to mention a moment where I truly felt genuine care from the staff. On a day when the temperature suddenly dropped, they had advised us to dress warmly and even provided us a bag with rain jackets and water. Without this kind gesture, I genuinely feel like I would’ve gotten sick so I felt extremely thankful. Coming back to the hotel, they even welcomed us back with hot tea and dessert, which was such a comforting and thoughtful touch.
The hotel was also home to five adorable and friendly kitties. As a cat lover, this was such a delightful bonus and made the entire stay feel even more charming and homey.
Overall, I would highly highly recommend this hotel. Although it is slightly pricier than the average of most hotels located in Zhangjiajie, the service and quality of the room definitely make up for it. There is no doubt that I’ll be staying here again when I come back to visit!

GGuest UserThis unique B&B truly deserves its 5.0 rating! We visited in February, and the weather in Zhangjiajie was quite unpredictable, switching between cold and warm. Luckily, this place has underfloor heating, which was a real lifesaver for someone like me who gets cold easily. The room was very quiet and offered excellent privacy, with a really distinctive design. The bedding, toiletries, and amenities were all thoughtfully chosen. Even the welcome fruit and tea were of high quality. The location is fantastic too – it's a short walk to Charming Xiangxi and also very close to the East Gate of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. Plus, there's a lovely little stream right outside, creating a beautiful environment. The service was incredibly attentive and thorough, making us feel completely at ease. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next trip to Zhangjiajie.

The guesthouse occupies an entire building, and we booked a three-room suite. Upon arrival, the owner warmly welcomed us and assisted with check-in. After getting us settled, the owner even helped carry our luggage to the room and gave us a thorough room tour. The rooms were spotless, and the decor was entirely in the Wabi-sabi style – understated yet sophisticated. The bedding was exceptionally comfortable, and the mattress had a slightly firmer feel, which we appreciated as many hotel beds can be too soft. The suite also came equipped with a refrigerator and a washing machine, perfect for families traveling. Once everything was set, the owner went above and beyond, planning a personalized itinerary for us and even personally driving us to our first destination, Huanglong Cave Scenic Area. The owner is truly amazing!
Although the guesthouse isn't directly beside 'Charming Xiangxi' (Meili Xiangxi) or the East Gate of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, it's very convenient to reach both attractions by taxi, taking only 7-10 minutes.
In summary, if you're on a family trip and prioritize excellent service and quality, this guesthouse is absolutely the best choice.

GGuest UserThis hotel went above and beyond during my stay. Rain who first greeted us was helpful from the very beginning of the stay until the very end. The hotel provided a detailed route for the Zhangjiajie National Park and even provided transportation to the park and pick up once completed. In addition they assisted with the luggage during check in and check out. If flying or riding into Zhangjiajie, the hotel does offer setting up transportation to and from the hotel if needed at a very reasonable fee. The hotel offered a buffet breakfast and complimentary tea with the tea master, who was also amazing at making the stay feel very welcoming. Once the tea master and Rain found out it was my birthday they made my day one to remember. The tea master wrote me a congratulatory calligraphy scroll and set up a cake with Rain to be given to me as well. The hotel also offered activities every evening. On the day I was able to attend, they taught me how to make peach cookies which was so fun and delicious. The tea master also showed us how to do calligraphy while we waited for the cookies to be baked. Rain set up a Wechat with the staff where I was able to conveniently pre order dinner, which was super delicious. My favorite was the eggplant with pork. I can't express in enough words how everyone here made the stay the most enjoyable. For anyone visiting Zhangjiajie, I highly recommend staying here. I wish I could have spent more nights here to enjoy the entire resort such as the heated pool and sunset terrace.

Ttianbian****First off, I have to say, this is the best hotel experience I've had domestically. The views are incredible, directly overlooking Tianmen Mountain. My flight landed at midnight, but the butler patiently picked me up. At one point, I wanted to grab a bite and invited the butler to join me, but they politely declined, saying they had other guests to pick up. I really appreciate such a responsible staff member. I'm very satisfied with the hotel's facilities; I didn't encounter any cleanliness issues that some negative reviews mentioned. Perhaps that's more common during peak season. I visited during the off-season, and it happened to be a clear, sunny day, so the 'Sky Mirror' on the rooftop was absolutely stunning. I imagine those who had a less-than-ideal experience probably visited on a cloudy day, which might make the hotel appear dated. Also, reading some of those negative reviews in the comments section genuinely made my head spin – are we even talking about the same hotel? For the price you paid, to get a hotel like this, shouldn't you be thrilled? If you're going to complain about everything, maybe don't travel at all. Seriously, I rarely find such a unique hotel in China. The last time I stayed at a hotel that was this delightful and relaxing was in Guilin, but that cost 1600 RMB. Honestly, if you manage to book this hotel, you should be secretly celebrating!

GGuest UserI really liked this hostel; it has a great atmosphere and attracts many international guests. Just before checking out, I met a Spanish couple in the ground floor lobby who were also heading to the airport, and we ended up chatting for the entire afternoon. The dorm rooms were also very clean. I wish I had noticed earlier that there were plenty of unused trekking poles in a corner on the ground floor; then I wouldn't have had to spend five yuan on a bamboo stick! Haha.

As a Western traveler, finding a comfortable and convenient base for exploring the breathtaking Zhangjiajie National Forest Park can be a daunting task. However, Purespace proved to be an absolute gem, offering not only a welcoming and familiar environment but also a strategic location that unlocked a less crowded path to the park's wonders.
From the moment I arrived, the family who run Purespace went above and beyond to ensure a smooth and enjoyable stay. Their English proficiency was good, and we used automatic translations when communicating complicated points to ensure we understood each other, it was a welcome relief, and they were incredibly helpful in arranging transportation and offering tips for navigating the park. The hotel itself boasts comfortable beds, wi-fi and wall to ceiling windows. The view is outstanding and easily the best view I’ve ever had at hotel. The bathtub in the window is just amazing - you sit in your bath After a long day of hiking in relaxing atmosphere - it was truly a treat. The breakfast offered a decent selection of Chinese options, with noodles available on demand. Delicious home cooked food was available at lunch and dinner too.
However, the true standout feature of Purespace is its proximity to a lesser-known gate of the national park. Located just a short and easy walk from the hotel is an entrance that seems to be favored by locals and those in the know. This proved to be an absolute game-changer for accessing the Bailong Elevator early in the morning. While the main entrance was often swarming with 000s of guests, this smaller gate offered a quick and easy entry into the park. I was able to reach the base of the Bailong Elevator well before the peak crowds, allowing for a swift ascent and uninterrupted views of the stunning karst formations. This local tip, saved me valuable time and significantly enhanced my overall experience of the park.
Its proximity to the ”secret” gate leading to the Bailong Elevator early is an invaluable asset for those wanting to maximize their time and avoid the ilong queues. I highly recommend Purespace and will stay there again when I go back.

I had an excellent stay at this hot spring hotel and truly enjoyed every moment. The entire property was very clean and well maintained, which made the experience even more relaxing and comfortable. The hot springs were fantastic — peaceful, soothing, and perfect for unwinding after a long day.
What really made this hotel special was the staff. Everyone was incredibly helpful, professional, and polite. I would especially like to thank Cherry, who stood out for her kindness, patience, and willingness to help with everything. She made us feel very welcome and taken care of from the beginning to the end of our stay.
Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, relaxing place with hot springs and truly excellent service. I would definitely love to come back again!
