"For the price it was ok but if I was paying more I wouldnât be impressed the bedding and the towels were thread bare there was a big hole down the seam of the duvet cover the toilet door in the bedroom had a full frosted glass panel in it which wasnât very nice for my daughter the cooked breakfast was swimming in grease there are extra costs when you book in parking you have to pay for and they take a deposit on the room which does leave your account contrary to what the hotel says it is returned promptly but no other hotel does this in Southampton and of a hire standard than the star!
Considering years ago this was one of the poshest hotels in Southampton it isnât now itâs tired and run on a shoe string the price I paid was right for the standard clean the staff were ok but the place is in need of a revamp especially the glass panel in the toilet door also watch out for the hidden costs"

1118752****The room was clean and tidy. Being a newly opened hotel, I was quite satisfied with the overall environment and facilities. The breakfast was good, though the English breakfast options were pretty much the same every day. We used Uber for getting around, but be careful as the address can easily lead to a wrong location. Overall, it's a great value-for-money hotel.

AAnonymous UserThe check in process was very easy, just took us some time to find the place because we thought it is separated from the pub but the reception is actually right in it so just walk straight in! Room was very cozy and equipped, very thoughtful to provide us with all the basic amenities plus additional items such as water, beer, milk, chocolate, coffee for coffee machine and even a postcard! Staff was really friendly and helpful as well. The breakfast was also really amazing - you get to choose a main and a drink from their breakfast menu on top of a mini buffet spread that offered some really good pastries, salamis, cheese and more, so be sure to leave some extra time in the morning to enjoy it!
However, there was a club opposite the place that was opened slightly pass midnight when we were there and if you're a light sleeper be sure to pack some ear plugs to go to sleep early. One of the corners of the wall also had a slight mold issue because the condensation from the bathroom must have caused that in the long run but it shouldn't be a huge concern though it will be nice if that gets fixed!

Given wrong keys on arrival for door had to return to reception to get sorted quite hard with 2 cases was given free glass of wine and sorted . There was plaster falling off wall from fridge by door hitting it when you enter . pillows need to be changed old and flat .

They only had a basic reception setup, but the meals were great and the attention to the finer details in the room and the space was impressive. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. Overall it was a pleasant stay and Iâd be happy to stay there again.

XX FengI recently stayed at Elizabeth House Hotel in Southampton and had a very pleasant experience. The building has a charming, traditional feel with well-maintained interiors that give it a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were friendly, attentive, and happy to help with anything we needed, which really added to the overall experience.
Our room was spacious, clean, and nicely furnished, with all the essential amenities. The bed was comfortable, and we slept well each night. The breakfast was another highlight â freshly cooked and served with a smile. There was a good variety of hot and cold options, and everything tasted great.
The location is convenient â just a short drive from the city centre and the cruise terminal, with free parking on-site, which was a big bonus.
The only reason Iâm giving four stars instead of five is that some parts of the decor could use a bit of modernizing, and the bathroom in our room was slightly dated. However, everything worked well, and it didnât detract much from the overall experience.
Would definitely recommend Elizabeth House Hotel to anyone looking for a friendly, comfortable, and reasonably priced place to stay in Southampton!

Room was nice, we had exec but this isn't worth it to me. It only gives you a better coffee machine and we weren't in the room enough to use it. Save the ÂŁ20.
No lifts so cases up to the third floor was a bit of a pain. If you're waiting for a ferry and have lots of cases then this could be an issue. We saw a few people struggle with this.
Breakfast was good, staff very friendly. We didn't eat there in the evening, burgers and chips sort of menu but the nearby pub, Chilworth Arms was really good.
The pool is great, small (16m) but very nice with jacuzzi, steam and sauna. Towels provided. Staff very friendly. Pool surrounding has quite slippery tiles though. Leisure facility is a bit away from the hotel, only 300 hundred meters from the hotel front but enough to need an umbrella if raining.
All in all, a good value pleasant hotel. Much cheaper than Leonardo's in Soton and still close to Uni etc.

GGuest UserFamily hotel, the room is small but well equipped and very clean. There is no elevator, and it is not convenient to go up and down the stairs with heavy luggage. I wanted to check in at 3 pm but no one served. I can go out and check in at 6 pm, and finally someone is there. I wanted to take a bath at night but found that there was no water, because no one served ~ I could bear not to take a bath. I got up the next morning and asked other guests to know that there was a red button outside the bathroom, and there would be bath water when I pressed it.

GGuest UserThe hotel is in a great, quiet location and it is a very beautiful building. The room was clean and pleasant, but it wasn't quite what I expected. Through Trip I thought I had booked one room up from the smallest option, but alas turns out I had not! The bed was also advertised as a standard double, it definitely is not in the smaller rooms, it is a small double, and this made sleeping for two a little uncomfortable. The room was also very hot even though we turned the radiator off and had the window open all night but I think this is just due to it being an older building, heat rises etc. The pool room really needs TLC. It is very overlooked and we felt really lets the hotel down. It's shame as it's a lovely space - even a quick lick of paint would bring it back to life if money doesn't allow for larger maintenance. Staff were all very friendly, especially the two we were served by in the restaurant for dinner. The food was okay but a little over priced but the service made up for that. All in all for a quick overnight stop it was fine.
