GGuest UserThis hotel was the most comfortable five-star hotel we stayed at during our Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Penang trip. The room was very spacious, with a double vanity in the bathroom, and both the bedroom and bathroom offered sea views. The hotel facilities are very new, and they even offer turn-down service. They also provided plenty of complimentary water.
The check-in service was excellent. My only minor disappointment was that with so many Chinese people in Penang, there wasn't anyone at the front desk who spoke Mandarin.
Overall, I was very satisfied. The only downside was that the elevators and hallways didn't have air conditioning, which was a bit uncomfortable.
I would definitely stay here again, and I highly recommend it to everyone.

It's also close to other tourist attractions, and getting a taxi is quick and easy! We even ran into Chinese celebrity Huang Xiaoming and others promoting a movie at Gurney Plaza during our stay.

GGuest UserIt was a nice experience to stay at 23 Love Lane Hotel, which is filled with Peranakan Heritage. Hotel staffs are nice and very friendly. Also, the location is close to any famous tourist spots.
However, we would like to share a few points that could be improved.
- Despite hotel room being clean, sheets and towels are quite old, which made us very uncomfortable. We saw some stains on towels and most of them had already turned yellow. As for sheets, we still believe they were clean since we didn’t see any previous residents’ hairs, but sheets and pillow covers had also yellowed. They could consider to change them to new ones.
- Breakfast was not as good as we expected. The buffet only had few menu(salad, fruits and crackers) and the main courses are also limited. The taste was okay, but we would recommend future residents to consider eating outside in order to maximize their stay.
- We noticed one of the amenities was already opened by our previous residents(not used), but still there. Hope housekeepers had checked before.
- Our cutlery weren’t washed and changed at our second night. Even after we asked them for another new cutlery, the guy only washed it with water and used sponge. Since there’re original stains as well, we decided not to use the cutlery anymore.
Although we found there were some spaces to improve, we still think it worths living there if you want unique experience to live in Peranakan Heritage Mansion
We’re expecting future improvements so that this heritage will be preserved in the future.

RRyannnnnnnnnnnMy stay here was excellent! The hotel's location is superb, with convenient transportation, being very close to the subway station and shopping center. The check-in process was quick, and the front desk staff were enthusiastic, professional, and friendly. The room was clean and hygienic, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was good, ensuring a high-quality sleep. The room facilities were complete, the internet speed was fast, and the shower water temperature was just right with strong pressure. There are plenty of dining and entertainment options nearby, and it offers great value for money. I'll definitely choose this place again next time. Highly recommend everyone to stay here!

The facilities would be perfect if it provide handheld shower heads in the bathroom.
Breakfast costs discounted price 20 Ringgits for all you can eat, which is quite good.
The location is excellent. it is within walkable distance to historical sites and some night markets and is very close to bus stations namely ”Jeti” and ”Container Hotel” which you can take CAT bus or paid buses.

AAnonymous UserThe location is really good and the size of the room is great. But the cleanliness was a bit of a struggle. The towels we received when we first checked in were dirty. We found strands of hair in them and had to ask for a complete swap of towels. The towels are also quite old cos there were so many loose threads and frays.
We booked the jacuzzi room as my husband loves a good soak with some bubbling but the tub was kind of grimy and we had to clean it quite a bit before we were comfortable to use it.
I also am sensitive to dust and I did have a bit of a challenge resting each night as my nose will drip and make it hard to breathe.
Our 3 nights was pleasant cos we spend most of our time outside of the room. It is a super good location with the front entrance facing Victoria Street and the back door at Beach street. I think we were using the back entrance more than the front cos it’s just so convenient.
There’s also a lot of really good restaurants and street food within the 5mins walking distance and close to the main hangout of Armenian and Canon street.
I also appreciate the water dispenser available for us to refill our bottles easily.
As long as the cleanliness improve, this is actually a pretty good hotel!

GGuest UserThe building is very new. We stayed in a two-bedroom apartment on the 27th floor, and the balcony view was fantastic. The room was extremely clean with fresh and comfortable decor. The bedding and towels were new and spotless.
The hot and cold water dispenser was super convenient, with clear instructions posted right next to it. It was very quiet at night, without the usual rumble of Southeast Asian motorcycles. The location is convenient, within walking distance to many teahouses where you can enjoy a local breakfast. The only thing to note is that the smaller bedroom has no window, but there was no strange odor in the room, so it wasn't an issue at all.

GGuest UserI live in a girls' dormitory, everyone has a sense of boundaries, and I will not talk noisy at night. At 11 o'clock in the evening, the lights are turned off on time, and the bar street is downstairs. The sound is ordinary and the music will be heard at night. It is very safe here, every room is equipped with a code lock, and everyone has quality and courtesy. The room is windowless and will have a little smell, but the indoor air-conditioning is open for 24 hours (the air-conditioning temperature can be adjusted), and it will be a bit cold at night. The bed is super single size, you can sleep 2 me, the space is large, the mattress is comfortable, there is no depression or anything, the light next to the bed can adjust the brightness, each bed is equipped with curtains, so it will not disturb others' sleep. The room is equipped with WiFi. There is no air-conditioning in the hall, there are fans, hot and cold water dispensers, disposable cups, coffee, dishes and tableware. The toilet is clean, with shower gel and water heater, but no hair dryer. It is a bit inconvenient that after someone checkout the bed, a male employee will come in at 12 noon that day to change the sheets and clean, but they will not disturb us, I will pull the curtains. Overall very satisfied, the price is cheap, 15 minutes walk after getting off the train, the seat is biased, it is convenient to go anywhere, will come again next time 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
