Best hotel in great location!! Super convenient for shopping

The Monument Hotel in Barcelona is an exceptional accommodation that seamlessly blends historic architecture with modern amenities. This was our second stay at this beautiful property, and I was once again blown away by the level of hospitality and attention to detail. The hotel's location is perfect, allowing you to easily walk to all the top attractions, restaurants, and wine bars in the city. The concierge, Xavi, is a true gem. He listened intently to our personal preferences and provided fantastic recommendations, including a wonderful nail salon when I was in need of a manicure. Xavi's restaurant and wine bar suggestions were spot on - we enjoyed some of the best local cuisine and wine during our stay, and have saved those recommendations for future visits. The hotel itself is stunning, with a beautiful historic facade complemented by modern, well-appointed guest rooms and common areas. The amenities are top-notch, ensuring a safe, comfortable and convenient stay. From the luxurious bedding to the high-end toiletries, every aspect of the guest experience is carefully considered. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Barcelona, whether it's your first or fifth time in the city. We look forward to returning again soon.

Very expensive hotel but it is so worth it. Location could not be better; right smack in the main shopping area where the luxury brands are. I love the breakfast! The spread was relatively large with an extensive menu cooked-to-order.

The hotel's breakfast is divided into two parts: buffet and à la carte. The former is mainly cold food, including bread, desserts, cold cuts of ham, fruits, etc., and the latter is freshly made hot food. What's surprising is that there is a Chinese menu. There are many varieties to choose from, and the taste is also very good. Some of them are very suitable for Chinese tastes, such as omelet rice. The buffet part will also have a small amount of changes every day, which is rare in Spain. There was a problem with the shower button when I took a shower at night, but the overall service of the hotel is still very good.

The service is excellent and the price is much cheaper than in Paris. Barcelona is really great!

I never give bad reviews, but this hotel is the first bad review I give. I booked this hotel for the Michelin restaurant, but the hotel was perfunctory. When I needed to sleep at night, I found that the quilt on the bed was exposed. There was no staff on duty at night, so I asked the security guard to come into the room to solve the problem. The security guard could not make the bed. I decided to leave the hotel at 11:30 pm and dragged my luggage to stay at Mandarin Oriental in the early morning. I suggest that Ctrip remove this hotel from its listing.

There are few hotels I can't wait to give a bad review for, but unfortunately, the Monumental Hotel is one of them. It was the worst hotel I stayed in during my trip to Spain and Portugal, completely unworthy of the over 3,000 per night price tag. Several major issues: 1. The room was unhygienic, with stains visible on the sink. 2. The facilities were outdated, with the refrigerator breaking on the first night, leaking all over the floor. 3. The service was inattentive. From the lobby restaurant to the receptionist, no one cared about the customer's difficulties, offering no apology or compensation. 4. Construction work lasted for long periods (3-4 hours) during the day, disrupting our rest. 5. The rooms were poorly soundproofed, with constant noises in the hallways at night (talking, doors slamming, banging on walls, etc.). The breakfast was the only decent option, but the service staff were equally inattentive. It's likely that the hotel isn't paying enough to satisfy its employees, so unhappy employees don't necessarily care about customer satisfaction.

A very satisfying stay. The location is great, in the city, not far from everything. The facilities and services are also very good. If I had to point out one drawback, it would probably be that the breakfast is not very rich.

This is my second time staying at this hotel, and it is not as good as the first time. We upgraded to a suite room, which cost an extra 280 euros. Because we had an early flight, we arrived at the hotel after 10 o'clock, and thought we could check in earlier. As a result, the hotel said that there were rooms available, but if we wanted to check in earlier, we had to pay an extra 180 euros 🙂 Well, there is a check-in time. It is reasonable not to allow early check-in, but I just feel that I have never encountered this before, and we upgraded to a suite near Passeig de Gràcia when the room was empty... I have stayed in other five-star hotels before, such as Four Seasons and even Amman, which allow early check-in when there are rooms... This hotel is really too stingy. The room only gave a mini bottle of body lotion for two people staying for two days, and the shower gel in the shower room was empty. We found it when we went in to take a shower. The water in the shower room would flow to the bath, and the bathroom door in the living room was broken and could not be closed. There was no chocolate or anything like that in the turndown service at night, so stingy.

The hotel is in a great location and the service is pretty good. The downside is that you can hear the vibration of the subway downstairs, which is a bit noisy, and the water in the shower overflows every time you take a shower

The price/performance ratio is average, there are many good hotels around, and the local accommodation tax is also very high. The disinfectant in the bathroom smells very strong, the shower floor is very slippery, and the hotel's toiletries are not easy to use, fake and slippery!

The hotel is located near the Batlló and Milà. Rolex is next to the hotel. Very safe.
