Hotel Acta Azul Barcelona

The location is definitely a strong point. The hotel is very well situated, with numerous bakeries and supermarkets nearby. The neighborhood is pleasant and safe, and all public transportation is within easy walking distance, which is very convenient for exploring the city. However, a few things could be improved. Housekeeping needs improvement: I had to ask a chambermaid to vacuum, and the table hadn't been cleaned. Another significant drawback is the noise. The room faced the street, and we could hear a lot of traffic, day and night, even with the windows closed. It's a shame that triple-glazed windows weren't installed; this would greatly improve comfort. In short, a very well-located and convenient hotel in a good neighborhood, but with room for improvement in cleanliness and soundproofing.

The location is excellent, but since it faces a road, it might not be suitable for people who are bothered by the noise of cars on a busy street. The plumbing is average, but the smell from the drainpipe is noticeable. Water drips from the refrigerator, but the hotel staff are aware of it and said there's nothing they can do about it.

The hotel is close to the station, but the environment is rather poor, with homeless people roaming the entrance. The room lacked teacups, coffee, or a kettle; it's more like an apartment than a hotel. The towels were unclean, though the room was quite large. The surroundings are unsafe and not recommended, and the room rate is quite high. The breakfast had a wide variety, but some items were not fresh, such as the watermelon and canned tuna. Breakfast in the restaurant cost 9 euros.

It was very hot; the thermostat wouldn't let us regulate the temperature. The room for five people was a bit cramped. However, everything else was great. The service was excellent, and it's perfectly located for visiting Montjuïc.

We stayed for one night. We chose it because of its proximity to the metro and buses to the airport. The A1 and A2 buses stop a two-minute walk from the hotel. Very convenient. Overall, it's a decent hotel.
