However, we are pleased that the vast majority of our guests have a positive experience and that we consistently meet their expectations. We offer three distinct room types, all of which are available for selection when booked in advance: the room with a terrace, the room with a balcony facing the street, and our cozy interior room. Guests select their preferred room based on the detailed descriptions provided, as the hotel does not assign rooms. We take great care in accurately describing each room to ensure your expectations are met. You selected our small interior room, which is clearly described on all booking platforms as an interior room with no natural light. It overlooks a private interior courtyard, accessible only to you, where you can enjoy breakfast in privacy. This room, like the rest of our hotel, combines modern comforts with meticulously restored period furniture, aiming to offer an experience that evokes the atmosphere of a typical Barcelona bourgeois home from the early 1900s. This particular room is often chosen by travelers who wish to experience our hotel's ambiance in a prime Barcelona location without the cost of a superior room. We kindly request that all guests carefully review the room descriptions prior to booking. As a very small hotel that is often fully booked, it is typically not possible to accommodate room changes. We regret that your expectations were not met and that you chose not to accept the alternative satisfaction options offered by the hotel.

Response from Property: Dear Blickingh, First of all, we would like to thank you for choosing Circa 1905 for your stay in Barcelona and taking the time to leave your review. We take all comments into consideration because all the opinions help us to improve our service and offer the best experience. We were sorry to hear about your sleepless two nights because of noise issues in common areas. In general our guests are very quiet, people that come to enjoy the cultural values of Barcelona. As we are a small boutique hotel with only 9 rooms we do not have group reservations and noisy situations, the rooms are located in the house with small living spaces in between that give even more privacy. However, we assume that some particular situations may be out of the standards, in that case we have 24 hours online assistance for our guests and if it is needed we come to the hotel in less than 30 minutes to fix the situation. Regarding the bathroom details, I would like to clarify some anti-slip surfaces take different colors when they are used but they are daily cleaned with professional products.
