Ibis Basel Bahnhof

The hotel is just a few minutes' walk from the SBB train station, and there's a tram stop right downstairs, making it convenient to go anywhere. Despite this, the soundproofing is great and it wasn't noisy at all. We received a BaselCard upon check-in, which gives free access to public transport in the city.

The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the train station. They even provide a city transport card, allowing free bus travel and 50% off at attractions and museums. The decor is a bit dated, but all the basic facilities are there. A tram stop is right outside, which saved a lot of walking. There's also a large supermarket and food court nearby where you can find Thai and Middle Eastern cuisine at reasonable prices. The hotel is close to the road, and since I was on the first floor, I could feel vibrations when the tram passed by. However, after a long day of sightseeing, I still managed to get a good rest. I forgot to take pictures of the room. If convenience is a priority, this hotel offers good value for money.
