"I had the pleasure of being served by [Ante] during my recent visit to [Restaurant Hotel Noemia Baska Voda], and I must say the experience was outstanding. From the moment we were seated, [Ante] was attentive, friendly, and incredibly professional. Thank you!"

"The staff were very professional, courteous and helpful. The hotel was well maintained, although its age was catching up. The room was well maintained, hot shower, air conditioning etc, although the bed was harder than we’re used to. Good facilities, indoor and outdoor pool. Wellness area, gym, sauna etc, although we had to pass through the wellness centre and indoor pool to get to outdoor pool. Also, the bar was by reception and was a bit of a trek to get a drink for the pool. We went B&B, as my wife and I have had enough of buffets. We ate breakfast every morning and we did eat in the Restaurant one evening, for which were given a discount of 5 euros per head. Otherwise we ate out. The location of the hotel was another selling point, being 5 mins from beach and 10 mins from town. Plenty of shops, restaurants and bars, considering the size of the town. On the whole, it was a lovely stay and the staff Bent over backwards to help. Would we stay there again? Probably not, only because we want to see more of Croatia, so would visit somewhere else. There is a sister hotel, the Slavia. Better decor, but next to a church, where the bells can be heard miles away. Nevertheless, thanks to the staff, as they were very good. We booked the holiday with TUI before we read the reviews. There were some complaints regarding the food. There are plenty of tourists here, of many nationalities, and Brits are not the largest. The cuisine is European. The breakfast buffet is not like a Premier Inn, so no pork sausages, baked beans, black pudding or brown sauce. If you’re willing to experiment, plenty of present surprises. We ate out a lot, by design. We were told that everything was dirt cheap out there. Not any more. Croatia have adopted the Euro as their currency, which has hiked up the prices. Still reasonable though, as we spent on average 55 Euros per meal, for 2. Main meal and drinks. However, Croatia has only recently jumped on the tourism bandwagon, which means if you want a quiet holiday with traditional food and holidaymakers from Central Europe, this is your place. If you prefer the creature comforts of English cuisine, bars and tourists who will fight over sun beds, don’t worry. It won’t be long before mass tourism comes along and spoils it"

"Just returned from an 8 night stay at Slavia Hotel . We booked a Superior room (409) on BA Holidays Website and made the right choice. Our room was situated at the rear of the building with a balcony with a great view towards the sea. The room was large and comfortable with a bathroom with both bath and shower. No tissues provided or bottled water in the room, and coffee pods could be bought from reception for a small fee. Breakfast was good and we ate in the restaurant on 5 evenings and the food was good quality. We would not hesitate to stay there again."

"Super apartment in a quiet block run by the loveliest family. They couldn't have done more for us and always had a smile and time for everyone. Really clean, simple but stocked with everything we needed. Stunning location, the mountains are staggeringly beautiful and the sea a 5 minute walk away (bit longer on the way back uphill in the heat!) Baska Voda is a fantastic base for exploring, would definitely come back. Thank you xx"

"Lovely hotel, with lovely staff. Very clean and super breakfast. The AC at the rooms were perfect and very needed in a hot July. Short walking distance to the beach, small cafes and lunch bars. They also had a little local cat at the hotel who were with us at breakfast. They have a little pool in the basement and you can order spa treatments. All in all a very good place to stay in Baška Voda."

Boutique Hotel Noemia ★★★★
"My thoughts about the hotel, where I have together with my wife just spent 9 nights with half board. Pros: - Great location and views (maybe not in all rooms) - Modern, clean and nicely designed rooms and facilities - Very good room cleaning service - Kind staff Cons: - Poorly managed dining service - Mediocre and sometimes simply unsatisfactory cooking - Not really suitable for vegetarians (you will get by, but your options are very limited and very repetitive) - Atmosphere of pretentiousness that makes the experience at the hotel a bit tense. The staff managment is probably desperate to make the whole thing seem top-class, but lacks both the experience and know-how which often creates grotesque situations that manifest especially during dining. - Rooms need a couple more tweaks regarding practicality, the same goes for spa. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommed the hotel, but you would be smart to have dinners some place else."

Hotel Horizont ★★★★
"Horizont is currently undergoing significant changes. After selling its sister hotel Grand Slavia it is hoped that a substantial investment will be made to update Horizont. A lot of the team of staff from Grand Slavia have left and now work at Horizont which is a positive step as they are excellent in customer service, knowledge and languages. The hotel itself is still significantly outdated and as such its clientele are older. It is quite sad to see a hotel which holds such a prominent position in Baška Voda - beach front, close to all shops, bars, restaurants snd cafes - left in the late 80’s. It has never changed or updated its rooms since opening therefore no wonder guests comment it feels dated. Dark brown furnishings fill the hotel and rooms. The once beautiful dining area / restaurant now a jaded buffet room with standard lukewarm buffet foods. Long gone are the days of the Thursday gala dinners, live music and traditional dance shows. The spa downstairs has huge potential however, facilities are hit and miss for opening. Treatments are available however possibly due to lack of guests there is not always someone available to facilitate this. There are vast areas which are unused and have so much potential however, given the large choice of accommodation in Baška Voda it is clear that unless Horizont overhauls its entire facilities and guest rooms its majority clientele will continue to be elderly and minimal. Positives are that improvements are being made, a new bar menu is available during the day with fresh wraps, sandwiches etc. The pools are clean and dumbed available for guests. The staff are attentive and friendly and the position is stunning. A backdrop of the beautiful Biokovo mountains and abundant pine trees surrounding the perimeter. The beach a stones throw down the steps or through the car park and along the path. The beautiful clear waters of the Adriatic and the clean pebble beach run along the whole front of Baška Boda and neighbouring Baško Poljie."

Grand Hotel Slavia ★★★★
"Welcoming staff, pleasant hotel just across from the stone beach and small harbour. Coolish, deep indoor swimming pool, with jacuzzi, (not always working), good sauna. Wide choice at breakfast and the coffee was good. The room was spacious with lots of storage space. We ate supper out most nights as the hotel evening menu was not particularly exciting (and limited), and we found not good value compared to the other local restaurants. The nearby ice-cream cafe made up for the poor desert choices at the hotel! Our visit was out of season so many hotels, restaurants, cafes and shops closed and no boat trips on offer - we did know this before we went. Lovely coastal walks but all the public toilets closed for the winter. Local buses fairly reliable timewise, though the return bus from Split was running over an hour late - locals informed us this was typical for the early evening bus due to traffic volumes/congestion. The trip to the Skywalk was worthwhile as was the Palace in Split. This was our second visit to Croatia and we plan to visit again but will look for a resort with a sandy beach. Note - Baska Voda beach has sharp stones, but the water was warm and clean."

Hotel Villa Bacchus ★★★★
"+ Excellent location right in town and across from beaches with wonderful west facing view. + lovely and very clean. Small boutique hotel with beautiful restaurant terrace with sea views. + Kristina at reception is incredibly nice, polite, professional, and helpful. + AC works well when you can figure out how to make it work. -older hotel; lots of dark wood furniture. Rooms can feel very dark, although has nice sconces on walls. Cannot open drapes over sliding glass door so kept room dark which was ok in heat. Room a bit cluttered with heavy old dark wooden furniture. Ample storage space. + bathroom has good enough counter space and bright enough lighting. -shower is small and tight with slippery floor -beds –mattress is hard, the way Germans and Austrians prefer, but is ok for sleeping. -towels rough and lower quality. + staff very nice and professional. +parking safe; right behind hotel in private lot. +breakfast very good – wonderful melon, homemade bread, and hard-boiled eggs. The bread in particular is amazingly good – very soft, gluteny, and fresh; several different types are available very morning and it is made there every day. It is out of this world, as is the melon. -only 1 small TV tucked above refrigerator; no TV in bedroom. No English channels."
