Honestly, some of the reviews saying this hotel is great feel very fake to me.
First of all, the front desk service itself was fine. The only strange thing was that even though there was a DuitNow QR code available for payment, the staff said they only accept cash. That was a bit confusing, but I decided to just let it go.
The real issue started when I stepped into the room. There was a strong stale cigarette smell that hit me immediately. It honestly felt like the room hadn’t been properly cleaned. I’m quite sensitive to cigarette smoke, and even after staying for a whole day, the smell never went away. In fact, the air in the toilet and even outside the room smelled cleaner and fresher than inside the room itself. For a hotel, the most basic thing should be maintaining a clean and odor-free room, and clearly this hotel failed to do that.
Secondly, the soundproofing is extremely poor. In the middle of the night, I could suddenly hear water running, and sometimes there would be a very loud “bang” sound out of nowhere. I’m actually not someone with very sensitive hearing, yet I could clearly hear all these noises, which shows how bad the sound insulation really is.
Lastly, the hotel only seems to have one accessible floor for guests. I’m not sure if the upper floors have rooms, but one thing I’m certain about is that there is no elevator. You have to climb the stairs yourself. If there are rooms upstairs, people with a lot of luggage are definitely going to struggle.
In summary, I only stayed for one day and I already couldn’t stand it. The experience was terrible 👎. I chose this place because it was cheap, but the stay turned out to be extremely disappointing. I really do not recommend this hotel. Please don’t blindly trust the overly positive reviews — I feel like many of them are fake. Unfortunately, I’m one of the people who got misled by those comments.
