Quality Inn Baytown - Houston East

Let me start by saying the staff, or computer screen with a person in God knows where, was very nice. It was just very bizarre to check in with a kiosk. Otherwise, this was not what we expected. The room smelled like mold, the toilet was clogged upon our arrival, and it was just extremely rundown.

Hotels was nice and staff was friendly. Our room near the lobby was a bit loud from employees talking loud after 10:30ish.. still got a good night's sleep.

The elevator doesn't work, the corridors to the rooms smell like pure cigarettes, urine, even inside the room, not good hygiene in the beds, the mattress boxes stop that they took it out of the trash. And more details but let's leave it like that.

No A/C in lobby or hallways checking in on kiosk was very odd & high tech considering the actual hotel didn’t even have a working elevator. It did not feel very welcoming. The room was ok & thank goodness the a/c in the room worked. The room was clean other than the floor was very sticky shower pressure was very low. I paid for a king size bed but got a twin size. I was going to call the front desk but remembered I would probably have to go downstairs & speak to the kiosk again & since it’s only going to be one night I decided to just avoid it & made do. I will never ever consider staying there again.

I booked this hotel on 04/11/26, My room number was 307 first of all the checking process was done I don't even know how to explain it but it was done basically where you use a computer screen to communicate with I guess somebody in India there was nobody at the front desk so I had to check in that way My room was on the third floor the elevator was out when I got to my room, room was clean linen look fresh, if you ever went to waffle House that's the way the floors felt they're slippery feeling I don't know if it was just my room but that's the way it felt, there were one towel, they advertise a breakfast I guess you can call it that One container of juice that you shared waffle maker cereal that's about it, I booked the room for $50 I feel like I paid $25 too much

As soon as we walked in the building, we noticed a strong smell of smoke and dogs. There was no staff on site when we arrived (2am), but instead you checked in through a screen which connected you to a live person elsewhere. We were placed in a room on the 3rd floor. The elevator was broken and the carpet of the stairs smelled bad and was covered in dog hair. We walked in our room and there were stains on the blankets and the room cleanliness was substandard. We immediately left without staying the night. Would not recommend staying here.

Very stuffy room with an odd smell but like whatever im on a budget. pool was green which was a bummer in the email i received it said check out was just “before noon” and the lady from the front desk was knocking on our door at 11:30 saying she’s giving us ten minutes to get out. i entirely understand like needing us to be out before check out but the attitude was lowkey unnecessary

Hotel was run down. Banged up furniture, faulty TV, internet did not work. A “buffet” breakfast was offered but consisted of sugary fruit loop cereal and white bread. Quality Inn Properties usually offer a hot breakfast with eggs and meat as a standard. They are not representing the Choice Hotel Brand very well.

Got to our room and there were No batteries in tv remotes no light bulbs in lamps by the bed. We had to go to the lobby to ask for those and acted like we Inconvenienced them. After installing the batteries for the remotes we realized the Tv was broken so we had to go back to lobby and after the employee came to make sure the tv was broken he proceeded to say he would have to give us another room after we had already settled into that room. They did not even offer anything for our inconvenience of an unsatisfactory room.
