Best Hotels in Beckenried

I booked a three night stay here for myself and son aged 2.5. I found the journey from Zurich airport easy. I took the train to HB then changed to a train to Brunnen. I did switch at Zug. Then the 504 bus to the hotel was 10 minutes from Brunnen station. Overall it took just under 2 hours. There was some confusion at check in. I booked via ********** and assumed I was in the hotel. I was not aware there were apartments, and these are treated differently from hotel guests. After discussing this with management, we agreed I could pay an additional fee to be treated as a hotel guest. This was much better as it included full board food for my son, breakfast for both of us, towels/robes and lots more extras. Had I just been in the apartment, I would have had to check out at 10am whereas hotel/hostel is 11am. Also check in for apartments is at 4pm whereas hotel/hostel in 3pm. Breakfast is charged at CHF 27 per person/per day and children’s meals are CHF 9 per meal. Also, the gym is charged at CHF 15 per person/per day. As you can see it can get very expensive. I found the apartment to be very spacious and comfortable. It was frustrating having to navigate finding the apartment in the dark as the signs were not clear and it was difficult to navigate some steps with the buggy. The restaurant was great for the children’s meals/ Plenty to choose from. The restaurants did get busy but I never booked and was always able to get a table. At lunch I did not want to eat so little one only ate, I felt like the waitresses did not like this and kept asking if I wanted to order something. The kids facilities are the best. The play area is great with lots of fun toys. Sadly parents let their children run unsupervised but that’s not the hotels fault. Ethan also went to TOM’s Happy Club one morning whilst I went to the gym. The pool was also great. Plenty to keep the children entertained. We also enjoyed the cinema room. There isn’t much local to the hotel unless you have a car but we were only there for a few days so it was ok for us. Overall I would recommend this hotel for families. So much to keep children happy. Superb stay for a few days of business..staff were great at looking after the team with all needs. Food was great (if a little limited options), view is lovely across the lake and the rooms were quiet good too - seem to have learned from previous reviews and added a fan. It isn’t the kind of hotel for bellhops so if that’s what you need, head elsewhere but with on site parking, a good breakfast and close to the mountain, it was worth the stay!

Almost the cheapest hotel in Lucerne.. It's a brand of its own, and it was clean and the room was large. The parking fee is about 12 francs, and if you pay in advance along with the tourist tax, you will receive a transportation pass voucher. With that, I used the bus several times to go to the city, and there was no problem even if I got on the wrong bus. There was a mart, McDonald's, and Subway nearby, so it was good to buy snacks.

The modern building right next to the Stoos railway is invited, the modern equipment functional and yet 'style'. The attention of the entire staff was provoked by a ”yes, I can mentality”. Check-in is self maintained but was more complicated than thought; the QR code reader had to be 'been' xmal ... I had to enter all personal data again - although I had booked via booking. I had to - if a careful staff had not come to help me immediately! The room was modern - reduced to the max but it was all there it needs. I traveled with a dog and there was a dining room with beautiful tips. On the hall there is a water bar with beautiful caraffs and glasses. In the evening you could take a dessert in the hotel bar with great view to the surroundings. That you can not serve a single malt in the tumbler is a detail : -) the whisky card is small but fine, also with locally produced varieties. The breakfast buffet is huge. There it has something for everyone. Only the coffee was relatively bad - automatic coffee just. A super coffee per day would certainly start the i-top on the 5 points!

Location is near to train station. Overall the hotel is good, breakfast is good. The worst incident is the check out issue where the hotel charge us for the deposit. It took almost one week then we got back our refund.

Sehr freundliches Personal - das Hotel ist sehr zu empfehlen. Saubere gut eingerichtete geräumige Zimmer. Die Größe der Zimmer ist auch gut. Die Schlafqualität ist auch hervorragend. Also ich war, bis auf die Lage (die nicht veränderbar ist) rundum zufrieden!
