Fantastic hotel in a very remote location in Begur, Costa Brava. The hotel is beautiful and if you are happy with relaxing at your accommodation for your stay, then this is very ideal. The staff however in general are far from ideal. Many have an arrogant persona from the start and often give off the impression they are doing you a favour by simply doing their job. The rooms are beautiful with great scenic views but lack the basic amenities that basic hotels would offer. Overall a beautiful hotel, just let down by a mixture of inept and incompetent staff.

The location is unbeatable and the staff are friendly. The gym is very small, with outdated equipment, and requires prior reservation. Breakfast could be improved. The spa is an extra charge, and I consider it a bit overpriced given the room rate.

The location of this parador is one of the most spectacular I have seen (and I travel a lot, too many countries). And, as all Paradors I have stayed in, the design of the building and of the rooms is outstanding. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff is polite and helpful. I wish we could stay longer!
