Sheraton Beihai Resort

We booked the Deluxe Seaview Double Room, on the 5th floor facing west (best angle for sunset views). The room was huge, probably over 70 square meters. What I loved most was the large sea-facing balcony, which felt at least 10 meters wide – absolutely fantastic! My family and kids took turns taking photos; you could spend all day there without even needing to go downstairs, it's such a photogenic spot! The hotel front desk staff were very welcoming, and check-in was super quick. The infinity pool is right on the first floor, with both shallow and deep sections, plus a whale-shaped slide that the kids absolutely adored! You can also access the Guanling 'Never-Set-Sun' Beach from a gate on the first floor (accessed by key card). This beach is less crowded than Silver Beach and the water quality is much better! I used my drone for aerial shots, and every picture looked like it belonged in a magazine! The hotel's exterior is very grand, and the surrounding environment is meticulously designed and decorated, making it truly unforgettable! Next time I'm in Beihai, I'll definitely be staying at the Sheraton Beihai Hotel again!

My trip to Southwest Guangxi ended in Beihai, and after comparing three well-known hotels, I chose the Sheraton. The room was spacious, and the shower was also very large with strong water pressure. The linens were comfortable, and the pillows were supportive. During my two-day stay, all the staff were very friendly and greeted me whenever we met. The housekeeping staff worked hard; I saw them still cleaning rooms in the evening. The breakfast was quite rich, and it was even better on the second day than the first, with cold cuts. The second day also had a greater variety of fruits. The sea view room was lovely; I spent most of a day just drinking tea on the balcony. This hotel, in my opinion, is a mixed bag. Let's start with the good points. It's built on Guantou Ridge, offering a panoramic view of the entire bay, so the lobby's scenery is absolutely stunning. The hotel is less than a 5-minute walk down to the beach (see photo 3). Compared to Silver Beach, Guantou Ridge is less crowded, the beach is cleaner, and the commercial establishments are more tastefully done. There's a fusion restaurant called 'Shansha' right by the beach, with a Tuscan-inspired decor that's great for photos. The hotel's kids' club is fantastic – well-equipped, spacious, and very clean. The toys and decor materials seem to be of good quality, with no strange odors. The hotel also offers children's classes four times a day. The coffee bar serves good items; the cakes, sausages, and drinks are all delicious. Now for the downsides. There's always a strange, foul odor, like rotting garbage, in the corridor outside the first-floor rooms. When we reported it, the staff would come and the smell would disappear, but it would return after a while. The hotel has many young employees, but it feels like they haven't been properly trained; they often don't know the answers to questions and there's no one they can turn to for help, which caused a lot of delays. The most unpleasant thing was during the May Day holiday. There was traffic control on Guantou Ridge, where the hotel is located, but the hotel didn't call beforehand to inform me how to get up the mountain. This led to a long discussion at the checkpoint, wasting my time and the taxi driver's. When checking out, I asked the front desk if there was a contingency plan. They didn't tell me about the hotel's waiting taxi service, only advised me to allow enough time to call a car from the bottom of the mountain. After much effort, a driver finally accepted the order, and we went through all the procedures to contact and register the license plate to get through the checkpoint at the bottom of the mountain. Only to find two empty taxis waiting right outside the hotel entrance. It was a complete waste of my time and energy.

First off, I have to say that the Sheraton Beihai is the absolute top hotel in Beihai. I especially want to give a shout-out to Ella and Cathy, who are front desk staff and akin to hotel butlers. Their service is professional yet warm, making you feel incredibly comfortable. This trip was with my girlfriend, and as soon as we entered the hotel, we were captivated by the massive glass wall in the lobby, offering an uninterrupted view of the endless, azure sea. The hotel is located within the National Forest Park, a location unparalleled by any other hotel. It truly offers ocean-front rooms. Our room was large and spacious, with luxurious, elegant, and comfortable decor, featuring a wonderful coastal design and numerous thoughtful details. The most impressive aspect, though, was the attitude of the staff. Everyone at the hotel had an excellent demeanor – that's the charm of the Marriott brand, and I believe this Sheraton embodies it perfectly. Downstairs, there's the hotel's private beach, which is uncrowded and beautiful. The accompanying Sunset Restaurant also has a fantastic ambiance. Listening to music with the sea breeze, enjoying a drink while watching the sunset against the backdrop of Guantouling Beach is simply blissful. Despite being on a hill, the hotel's location makes it convenient to get anywhere. There are staff at the entrance who help with luggage and open/close doors, which is an excellent touch. Even ordering late-night takeout was super fast. I also want to praise the hotel breakfast – it was incredibly delicious! You absolutely *must* try the hotel's noodles; they have a unique flavor. From my personal experience, if you're planning a vacation or holiday in Beihai, the Sheraton is definitely the best choice. Whether it's the location, environment, service, experience, facilities, luxury, cleanliness, or the sense of privacy and seclusion, I honestly believe it's absolutely outstanding!

The room was spacious with a fantastic sea view. I'm not sure if the rooms on the 4th and 5th floors are as large. On the 2nd floor, there was a slight obstruction from some treetops, but it was still fine. We had some cloudy days during our stay, so we didn't get to see the full sunset, but I imagine it would be stunning on a clear day. There's a swimming pool, and it's a very short walk to the beach through the back entrance. The hygiene was excellent, and service was very prompt. Breakfast was also quite rich and varied.

The room type was perfect, and the sea view was absolutely stunning! It would be even better if there was an indoor pool! Side note: Ordering takeout to eat in the room was great, I recommend the luosifen from Little Bear Congee Shop.

The sea-view room might have a damp, moldy smell, but the view is absolutely stunning. It's quiet and not crowded, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The hotel breakfast is decent, but the variety isn't extensive.

The Sheraton definitely boasts the best location on Guantouling, offering the most stunning sunset views right from the hotel lobby. The pool is also beautiful. However, the room facilities are a bit dated, and the breakfast is simple. The sea view is only average, which slightly dampened the vacation mood.

Pure joy and endless fun for the kids all day long! They absolutely loved it and want to come back this summer... The hotel is spacious, very close to the beach, and the staff provide excellent service 👍👍. Plus, there's a kids' pool, a pour-over coffee experience, and a children's play area... We didn't want to leave!
